A dire performance capped off by 10 minutes of attacking and a beautiful goal from our clear MotM.

Nuno needs to bin these tactics as the football was dreck and Besiktas were garbage. But a win's a win and keeps us in the game.

Bloody hell that was grim at times but now who gives a fuck. You can say what you like about tactics and personnel but for me we just couldn't find another black shirt, not just Neto and MGW either, really poor quality on the ball.....but then last 10-15 minutes we actually started playing. Lovely ball by Neves and terrific first touch and finish by the big guy

Poor game - when we did get the ball near their area then so many misplaced passes/poor crosses.

Slightly better second half.

Then again I would take a 1 - 0 win away from home against any side whatever the performance was.

This win cannot paper over the cracks of that performance. Extremely poor for large periods.

When Moutinho gave it away with a minute left I really thought that was it we'd come undone so to grab the win is special.

Defensive performance, rather than dire I thought. Worked out well in the end, even when it was grim to watch at times.

Subs made a massive difference - took us from awful to pretty poor....

I thought Cutrone made a big difference, Raul looked shattered and fed up. Once Cutrone came on, we had movement and he worked his absolute balls off.

We got lucky to be fair, but it was a fantastic control and finish by big Willy.

I’m not going to let the last minute goal overshadow what was a really poor, negative, disjointed performance - but I’m still delighted with the 3 points. There’s still a lot wrong, but for now - fuck it. I’m going to enjoy the result not the performance.

Cutrone changed the game. And Saiss wasn’t offside for his disallowed goal either.

Jimenez needs a holiday, I wouldn't play him against city and let h get a nice big rest in

Cutrone will run his bollocks off against city

Result - Excellent
Performance - Concerning
Boly - Imperious

Just seen the replay and Saiss was just a fraction onside, not that you can blame the lino for that as it was very, very tough at full speed and he probably wanted to get out of the stadium alive. Would have been interesting to see if VAR would have overruled. Luckily it didn't matter.

One question about the next game against Bratislava which is behind closed doors. Does that mean it won't be televised either?

Pretty dire watch and we're still not quite right but two wins and a draw from the last three games provided a bit of breathing space.

Try and keep Sunday respectable then rest and regroup and hopefully we can start clicking again going forward

Nuno - "The performance was not the best one. We were sloppy."

"We had some crosses but never the final touch. We have to improve."

Awful game, excellent result. That was truly dire stuff from both sides, we look completely off form to a man. Doesn't matter what tactic you go for if no one can string two passes together. Boly pretty much the only exception, an outstanding goal for a centre back, thoroughly deserved.

Still, a win in Istanbul is huge, let's hope it can bring back some confidence and kick start our season

He shouldn't be happy, it was tactically all wrong. You can't play at that pace at the top level and hope for a player to score some individual goal. When we eventually went forward you could see we could have taken these boys to the cleaners had we started on the front foot instead of this negative, one paced rubbish.

Great result in our and the other game. Nuno played the name and not the side/form tonight. Only tried to win the game in the last 10 mins, would have been a lot more comfortable if we'd had that mentality from the start.

Neves back in the side playing in deep midfield and we're back to tepid, passive crap. Higher up the pitch and he creates a goal, who'd have thought it?

We are trying to find MGW a position, but I think it's as a 10. Not sure it's going to work anywhere else

Great result

Now let's never mention it again

Well, Nuno has been very lucky there. Why are we so cautious? A couple of times Cutrone has the ball on the left of the box and there is barely one Wolves player in support. We were desperately poor at times, and neither Braga nor Besiktas are anywhere near as good as Torino

Sorry but I think there are a few naive and/or entitled comments here. We just took three points from Istanbul FFS. With a clean sheet. And apparently Nuno got it all wrong and we should have thrown the kitchen sink at them from the off! Not a game for the neutral to enjoy and we certainly weren't firing up front, but keeping things tight at the back is how you do it in Europe, and we were as solid as stone where it counted. Needed to get ourselves back into this tournament after the Braga game and we've done just that.

European football, intimidating atmosphere.
Resolute defence (which is also part of the game of football), should have had an earlier goal, could have had
A penalty for handball, last minute winner.

Jesus, i think some folks have forgotten how far, how quickly we have come.
