Bolton build up

Interesting line about Golbourne at the end there. Could we see him line up on the left wing?

I would hope not. We've tried that before in League One and the JPT and it looked terrible then.

Didn't we win each of the league matches that Golbourne started at left wing?

There has been a fair bit of snow today in Greater Manchester with more forecast for tomorrow. Hopefully the match will still be able to go ahead.

I mean obviously that doesn't paint the whole picture but I don't remember him playing poorly.

I'm guessing the "Whichever role we use him in" means whether he'll be starting on the bench or the pitch.

It didn't work at all. IIRC we didn't drop points due to Henry playing very well on the other flank which was a far more potent attacking side. Golbourne is a cracking LB and should be the first choice when fit but a winger he ain't.

Wouldn't read too much into it - think Kenny likes to keep things close to the chest & did not want to reveal his intentions before he was ready to do so.

Think he played left wing at Colchester and was indeed pretty poor.

I really like Henry but I think he has had a poor couple of games. In a game against teams who sit off of us we need our wide men to be able to commit defenders, that isn't really his strong point. I do think he will fare better tomorrow like against Blackburn where he sounded brilliant. This is why I was surprised (even though he clearly doesn't favour him) he didn't put Jacobs on, as he is the type to run at defenders and take risks. Even if it means putting him out on the left where he it is less riskier to play him defensively.

Yeah he started there and was crap, I'm pretty sure he wasn't there in the second half but can't remember how we changed it. He's our best left back Kenny, play him there.

Ben Amos signed for Bolton on loan from Man Utd, will he go straight into the team or is the bench more likely.

I would've thought so, Ádám Bogdán is likely to be out for a few weeks according to Twitter.

Great...le fondre cleared to make his debut against us..

3 in 21 for Cardiff this season. He's ok but you wouldn't fret about facing him, just a standard finisher and little else at this level.

With our recent defensive record (including games vs better strikers than that) we shouldn't be fearing anyone in that sense.

If he scores a hat trick you are getting the Penk treatment
