Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

I don’t think he worries about how. He will just shout about it a lot and then that will spill into vote Lib Dem get Labour rhetoric again and again.

There isn't much he can do if the answer to "who do you want to vote for" is "not the Tories" in the eyes of millions, and that's the way it will remain while he's there as he's irrevocably toxic.

He still doesn't understand that everyone hates him.

I'll help him out. I hate you Boris, you fat stinking cunt.

I actually think this third term stuff might be trolling. Being called out as “delusional behaviour” by some Tories. The Express tomorrow are lapping it up though. Cunts.

He might delay the next election to the last day (he probably will anyway just because) and maybe try some boundary changes where the tactical voting is predicted to be particularly damaging.

That’s assuming the new make up of the 1922 committee doesn’t change the rules in the meantime . Relying on Baker and Bridgen by the sound of it there which is proper “enemy of my enemy” stuff.

The boundaries are already changing in 2023 and theoretically they help out the Tories (of course they will, they've been in charge since 2010, they wouldn't weaken their own position) but it's irrelevant. Permanent Tory seats with existing 20k majorities from 2019 aren't safe any more because the Prime Minister is despised on all fronts. He can say "people aren't interested in X" all he likes but they are, they know now - they should have known in the first place, but better later than never - that he's a venal, corrupt sham of a man who openly lies 24 hours a day. No-one wants someone like that in charge, even if they were otherwise competent, which he manifestly isn't. He's a fat slob who sleeps through afternoons and misses meetings, he misses COBRA meetings to sort out his shambles of a personal life, he leaves sensitive official documentation lying around his flat like a pig while his vapid wife (for now) has her friends round for Wine O'Clock.

That joke isn't funny any more.

Tbh I still think that unless Labour and Lib Dems come up with a genuine alliance, where either party doesn't stand in a number of seats, bojo would still win a general election at any point in the next few years. The printed press would make sure of it, and the centre-left vote would be too split.

Nope.

They no longer have any safe seats anywhere. They'd get ruined. Their remaining hope is ditching Sad Sack and hoping a new broom does the trick.

But they don't, do they. They can stick their fingers in their ears and pretend they do, but they don't. They just lost North Shropshire and Tiverton, as nominally safe as it gets. Wasn't even close either.

On current polling Johnson would easily lose his own seat.

though there’s a lot can happen between now and a GE. the only safe bet is the degree to which the right wing establishment will sell its soul to win elections. ..and sadly that a substantial % of the electorate is indoctrinated or prepared to be conned. on the other hand his massive toxicity is likely to continue which seems the opposition’s most compelling case. wtf any new gov would inherit from these cunts is anyone’s guess but at least basically rights are less likely to be savaged.

It's Johnson those people in Tiverton, North Shropshire etc hate, not the Conservative Party. One decision and they all flip back. There's not a chance in hell he's allowed to be there at the GE for that implosion. It's only the unique shape of the cabinet which is saving him now. I doubt there's ever been one which is collectively so reliant on the PM for their careers

Even if he's still there come election time, Tory voters in North Shropshire and Tiverton will go back to voting Conservative, they'd rather a Tory they don't like or trust than any combination of the other parties. Its incredibly frustrating but there you are.

Rest assured that for a GE those folk still vote Tory, particularly when Boris is gone, which will happen before the next GE.

You just watch their popularity surge back as soon as Boris goes, it'll be sickening, but it'll happen.

People in this country are (generally) thick as fuck.

Yeah, I don't doubt that. The original point from Del was that even Johnson would win a GE and I say he wouldn't, because everyone hates him now. Johnson, not Del, though now I mention it... :D

I honestly think he'd still win. People are happy to give him a bloody nose but when push comes to shove, they wouldn't chop his head off and put Starmer on the the thrown. With the electoral system we have, and the boundary changes coming in, tories will still win more seats than Labour, and probably more than Labour and Lib Dems combined. People are fucking morons

Our reluctant hero had plans drawn up for a £150k tree house at chequers for his son. Lord Brownlow was going to pay for said tree house.

Plans were abandoned after

a) fat Alex and Carrie Antoinette were told this was quite a bad look
b) it was briefed that the tree house payment might just possibly be a declarable donation
c) police explained the treehouse could be seen from the road and would need bullet proof glass at great extra expense.

Still, I’m sure those plans were drawn up for free and at no expense to the tax payer.

Not now. He is pretty much universally hated in the younger generations and the longer he delays the election the more of his core support dies.

Plus the SNP are going to continually rule north of the border so that's another 55 or so opposition MPs.

I live in a very Blue Home Counties area, and he is still very much loved here, even amongst the young with Tory parents.
Our MP is a newbie, but we usually have whips or the like. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a bigger name moved here, particularly as the incumbent isn't local either.

To be honest I’m amazed anyone is still vocal in their support of Johnson, like yourself I’m in Tory heartland but don’t know anyone who is (supportive, vocal or otherwise). I interpret that silence though as those that are stupid enough to still support him at least being intelligent enough not to vocalise it. But I’d suggest the majority are extremely angry, he’s brought embarrassment and shame and severely undermined whatever credibility the Tories might have had left.

I wouldn’t be too worried about any lost-cause bigots, they’re a waste of energy. Labour will get lots of their old voters back and will pull across the conservative voting Boris haters - and there are vast numbers of those. Starmer opens a safe pathway there and the Tories know it. Can’t see they’ll want a Starmer/Johnson election but the stupidity seems to know no bounds.

Grayling is the MP here, 17,800 majority and 53% of the vote, it’s as blue as you can get - but - his vote was already down 6.1% last time, libs up 11%. Boris is fucking things up so rapidly theres no such thing as a safe seat anymore and the only way out of the tailspin is to get rid of the buffoon.

Going to be interesting to watch what happens, but I’d absolutely laugh my cock off if Grayling got booted.
