Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Nothing here either

In February, the prime minister, Boris Johnson, told parliament: “No leaseholder should have to pay for the unaffordable costs of fixing safety defects that they didn’t cause and are no fault of their own.” Campaigners say he has now broken that promise.

Many homeowners now face financial ruin with devastating bills to make homes safe in wake of tge Grenfell fire disaster.

I would say inspired by, rather than aimed at, which is why I didn't quote you
To be fair as long as people don't assume that by 'can anyone name a politician who doesn't lie?' I didn't actually mean 'all politicians are the same' I'm not particularly bothered. I try to stay away from lazy narratives (I may not always succeed). But I do agree that it's the amount of lying and what he's lied about that set him miles apart from the rest. And should spell the end for him. Hopefully.

I am amazed (no, not really) that he can't see the double standard in how he's refurbed this flat, and yet grenfell continue to wait for justice.

Superb trolling by Starmer today having a campaigning photo op inspecting the wallpaper selection in John Lewis in the Trafford Centre. Hooked a few Tory fish very quickly!

Popbitch have hidden (not very well) Johnson’s private phone number in today’s email. Check it out if anyone fancies requesting their own personal tax break.

Judge orders Hancock to release information over PPE contract links:

At least six "VIP lane" contracts so far, more to come:

I wondered if the British manager taking the "commission" off an agent for the players inflated asking price mentioned on popbitch is in charge of a club very near a junction of the M5 and who's ground is the highest above sea level in the uk

I think I’m missing something. I recognised Prat Hancock but thought it showed him up to no good.

Drinking isn’t a surprise as he got the landlord of his local boozer a covid related contract.

Bear posted the un-photoshopped version of the tweet above.

In all honesty, with all the previous Tory misdemeanours during his tenure he has managed to bat them away, whether it was the whole Cummings Barnard Castle debacle, him reportedly knocking Carrie about/being aggressive with her, shaking hands with Covid patients, hiding in a fridge, his dad, just being his dad, not sacking Patel for being a bully, not sacking Hancock for breaking the ministerial code, shutting schools one day after they reopen after Christmas or having Rashford make him climb down about free kids meals for the poor!

In each of those instances either the press haven't jumped on him as hard as they are now, or something else has popped up that has taken it off the front pages, he probably got so angry yesterday and today is saying "nothing to see here" as he thinks he's invincible given what he has got away with before, this seems very little in comparison to those others (even to me, who despises him).

(that was poorly worded, but i think you get my point)

This sums up Boris's charge sheet far better than I.

"Or maybe the real scandal lies with us, the electorate, still seduced by a tousled-hair rebel shtick and faux bonhomie that should have palled years ago. Americans got rid of their lying, self-serving, scandal-plagued charlatan 100 days ago. They did it at the first possible opportunity. Next week, polls suggest we’re poised to give ours a partial thumbs-up at the ballot box. For allowing this shameless man to keep riding high, some of the shame is on us."

What do we reckon? Straight shooter or only telling the truth because he's running and can't risk taking the Scottish electorate for cunts?
The latter. Came across as evasive and when pushed on Brexit immediately diverted to the vaccine rollout. Can’t see him winning many, if any, seats.
