My dad and I are thinking we will go to the Saturday 3pm games as much as we can. We probably won't need to use the special "joker" thing for many/any of those games.

VIlla at home i will use it for i guess, beyond that i'm not sure we'll use all 6, as the games against Liverpool, City etc will likely be on TV and will be around 50+ quid a ticket, fuck that.
Do you have the “plus” forever now? As in do you have access to it every year and as long as you keep paying it’s yours? How much was it again?

Was free this year after Vinny backpedalled quicker than Roger Johnson.

You just had to have gone to enough games in 2019/20 to qualify.

I would be surprised if we qualify forever, there's probably a threshold of attended games that's needed to qualify for the following season, i guess it depends on the maths, member plus/members/general sale percentages.

We didn't have to pay anything, it was offered to us as £20 (or £25? I can't remember) offer (on top of the £38 membership fee), then there was such a hoo-hah about it they dropped the fee and just let those that qualified have it for "free".

I'm not entirely sure what the score is with loyalty points now either, as i have got 10 points for the Celta Vigo game, i didn't think loyalty points were a thing anymore for members, so i've got that wrong clearly.

Apart from the odd personal circumstance people will always make the effort if they really want to go. I could juggle my diary to make the Spurs game next week, but it would be a pain so I won't bother. Everton on November 1st is an even bigger issue, but I'll find a way to make it fit one way or another because I really want to
I have no problem with anyone saying "I can't be arsed", "it's on TV", "it's only fucking Brentford", "the kick off time is shit", "it's too expensive", "I have other stuff to do". All fair arguments.

What you can't do is marry that with saying "it is impossible for me to get home tickets", because it simply isn't and never has been. What you mean is you can't be bothered unless it exactly fits your requirements, which really is your problem.

I'm also not doing Spurs, as I can't be arsed and I hate the League Cup these days. Oh, and the club have made me begrudge giving them money. That too.

They are a thing but they don't count for shit for home games, and as a member you have less chance of getting an away ticket than I have of winning the London Marathon, so they're essentially worthless.

So there is no longer a staggered sales window for members based on their points?

I’m going Spurs. I need the points but I’d go anyway as it’s something to do, like to see how the squad players get on and I actually think Bruno will take it seriously and we’re playing good stuff

Get up the queue for the cup final Bruno taking us to though!

"It's impossible to get home tickets"

Comes from nobheads who only try to get tickets for Liverpool, United at home etc, and because they didn't go to Reading at home in the league cup, or Crusaders in teh Europa it was impossible for them to get tickets, those that did go to those games had no problem at all.

It was an entirely fair system, those that wanted to go more often were able to go more often. Those that wanted to go once or twice to the biggest games, couldn't.

But the club are now bending for the latter group, which is shit.

Erm...going by what's posted here today, it seems like being a member is pointless, if all the tickets have gone to 'member plus.' We decided to try and get tickets for any game, anytime, got them easy enough for Brentford but if there's only 50 left for ordinary members, think wim fucked.

No, these are general sale (and have been for some time).

Remember, we are only four days out from the game. And we are around 1,000 seats down from what we should have.

I'm not sure on the figures, but there aren't more member plus members than seats available.

Also you can't buy a ticket without being a member can you?

Apologies, I'm getting confused (stupid old bastard) I'm already thinking about Newcastle tickets... doh

Is the corner seating next to the South Bank (Graham Hughes Stand ) back in use for the Newcastle game ? Its out of action for Brentford.

Something like 22k STHs and 1,500 "Membership Plus" (why they made this a thing is beyond me).

If you are a member and you want a ticket then in the vast majority of cases you will get one.
As you say, to try and prevent the monopoly and pander to the once a season types.

Then put a fee on it (there will be next year) to mean people have to commit to it rather than just having the option.

I think it has backfired though. People used to go the less attractive games so they could get to the more attractive ones. Now they don’t bother and the big game sells out like it would before. So pisses people off and financially you’re probably worse off.

Will be ages for that. It's properly broken.

I'd be amazed if it's in action this year. Maybe even this season.
