Well, that didn't last long!
Awful football.

We just had a throw in and lost possession...Cav to Marshal back to Cav, walking pace to Bod, and... all the way back to Batth to Doherty who loses possession. So many instances like this.
And it just goes on and on...
Far too many situations where we have the ball and either lose it through poor technique, carelessness, snoozing, pass too hard, blocked and just dispossessed.

We were going to lose sometime. Pleased for Bodvarsson.

Reading lost 7-1 so some perspective needed here. Saying that even Britney was disappointed with the midfield but didn't name Edwards outright. I don't think we learnt anything new as we all know the old guard are relegation fodder and Shi has identified we need better. Starting with Thelwell.

We were always safe after the run and now we have taken the foot off the gas. Hugely disappointing to do so, but just get this season over and immediately start the rebuild for a proper challenge in 2017-2018.

Daunting to see how we go from the warm feelings of the last few weeks to this dross when Cav and Costa didn't start.
Bloody awful rubbish. Once again it seems like we never bothered turning up to train and we've forgotten all our player's names, where they're supposed to be and who's going to stay, who's SHI going to shed...

Really, Shi's interview yesterday should've been ammunition for Lambert to keep the players motivated. I didn't expect to win every game but I think we all expect a basic amount of effort which seems to have been lacking today. Coady for instance has been shunted to right back, he must know short term he's in a precarious position? Doherty has spent the last 18 months out of position and likewise? Evans has been in and out of the side?

I'll never be happy losing but i will be happy if a few of them expose themselves as chancers. Chancers when they had the abilities of Sako, Afobe and Dicko* to hide behind and chancers now with the likes of Costa, Cav et al.

Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. I think we already knew what today showed us though

I think we lost the brasso to polish the turds this morning..

Clearly a flip-flop performance today which is annoying if anything still highlights the problems we still have.
We're only four points from being effectively safe.

I think it shows how much we miss Costa and Cav starting.

Doherty put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen and Dicko wasn't far behind. Nouha's touch from Batth's ball was miserable in the build up to the second goal.

Did we play well last 15. Twitter reports suggest we were the better team towards the end ?

Played like a pre season game. Doherty was awful. I'm talking Hunt vs Watford levels of shite.

Hause was alright, Evans did some things well and then some thing terribly, Weimann & Marshall were anonymous. Cav played okay when he came on but the game was lost by then and we were expecting him to do it on his own.

Mainly though Doherty was wank and as a whole the team weren't up for it. Which is disappointing really as a lot of them were playing for their places next season.

I think this says Dicko isn't a meaningful part of the future:

With the game balanced at 0-0, Nouha Dicko had an early opportunity to give Wolves the lead but City 'keeper, Frank Fielding, denied the foward.

“Especially when you consider the goal on Tuesday night. That was a big moment for him," said the Head Coach.

Having seen the highlights, Edwards loses Paterson for the first as he's ball watching and we didn't get out to him quick enough. No idea what Doherty was doing for the penalty, he had no reason to grab Little and Batth looked all at sea for the third just dangling a leg at it. Now i know i've not seen today's game but the 3 goals and those bits of play from those 3 players just show they aren't good enough like most of us know anyway.

I fully expect Lambert will be looking for a 20 goal a season man. I would walk over hot coals to sign Patrick Bamford.

From what I heard on WM the third was on Evans

Agree with this, and would add that Lonergan didn't cover himself in glory either.

That loanee from Chelsea, Tammy Abraham has scored 24 this season.

They were all shit though Dohery's contributions to the second and third were pretty spectacular. Fucking horrid performance and I don't give a fuck what Spiers says there are no positives. You haven't earnt a day off when you're 16th in the table guys, that's not credit in the fucking bank.

Doherty...MY LORD! He was so shit today. The only positive I can take from today is some beer with Aikiwolf, Lycan, SamWolf, Philwolf, Machin, Nando, PLF and the newbie Dorsetwolf. The football up until the last 15mins was just scholol kid stuff.
I set off at 10 to 7 this morning and with engineering works won't be home till 0100 for this...on bloody crutches :wallbash:
