About time we beat these again at home. Only one home win in the last 11 years.

Donk in for Neves. I doubt Podence will be available so it's either go with Trincao again or give Traore a start. My vote is for the latter against these physical units.

Tarkowski and Westwood out for them with suspension.

I'm assuming though that we haven't played them much at home over the last 11 years ? Possibly wrong on this front - just guessing seeing as we have been in 3 different divisions in that same time frame .

1 win in 5 games.

You know what you are getting from Burnley. Stand up to them physically all around the pitch and we'll beat them - too often we haven't. Trincao has been better at home, but equally has shrank in the physical match ups so if he's fit, I'd probably go with Adama. The rest of the side picks itself.

Adama has to start - when he's interested he will give them plenty to think about .

Biggest problem we have - even if things go well , is that we're scoring very few goals . Newcastle and Burnley have scored more than we have . Hard to see that improving any time soon .

Only the top 3 have conceded less though. Playing an extra defender whilst having none scoring midfielders or wing backs.
We set our side up to cover our weaknesses, but don't have the players to do that without compromising our strengths

Funny really, going back Burnley always used to see us a bogey team.

The game back in April was an absolute shambles, probably nailed the final nail in the coffin for Nuno.
Expect similar stuff from Burnley who’ve had an impromptu rest.
Have to stand up to the physical challenge.
Donk and Traore to start for me.

After the talk to the other day of Cundle being in line to play is there any chance he may start him with (in a 3) or instead of Donk? With Trincao being poor against Norwich, Podence out and Traore clearly out of favour, is 352 a possible?

Would they actually rest though? They trained and ate to be ready for the match - if they didn't do an expected level of exercise then it impacts their fitness levels. I thought that was why you always see subs running for extended periods post-match.

I wouldn't for this game. Burnley are as 442 as teams get in this age. We might get outfought in midfield, but we won't be overrun personnel wise

I think the key will be how well we can get out after we've been under pressure.

If the ball keeps coming back we'll be in trouble

Timmy has confirmed Podence will still be missing for this. Massive blow.

Trincao has been better at home but if he puts in another performance like Saturday, we cannot afford passengers in this team. I’d be starting with Adama, but for whatever reason, Bruno clearly doesn’t fancy him.

The rest of it picks itself with Donk the only option to come in for Neves.

Let’s hope we are 3-0 up at half time so we don’t have to rely on the bench. Scandalous that we’ve been left in this situation by Fosun.

Should get a time machine really so we can go back three months and fix it.

They would say we are 6th which is miles better than anyone anticipated so they got it right. I would not agree with that but they are the current facts.

Extra 2,000 tickets available for this one as Burnley have only sold 1,000 of their allocation. On general sale too, I believe.

Or just back a week and stop Pod catching the 'Rona 😁

Selling 1,000 tickets is piss poor even allowing for it being midweek. Hope these eventually get relegated, they offer nothing to the league and Dyche is a prick.

Got to target a win although we have largely struggled against them since promotion. That 0-4 last season is the worst I've seen us play under Fosun, even worse than some of the Zenga/Lambert games.

Ashley Barnes who we somehow contrive to resemble a footballer year after year before he regresses to being a clogging shite against everyone else is out.

Tarkowski, Westwood and Barnes all out for Burnley then

If only we could put the likes of Aaron Lennon, Phil Bardsley, Erik Pieters and Kevin Long on our bench.

For the record they have 21 senior outfield players when everyone is available. We also have 21 (I'm not counting Oskar Buur).
