I know there is no chance, but if there is an away ticket I'd be keen to snap it off anyone's hands for face value :) I'm getting bored of watching Wimbledon throw away their games when they could've easily stayed up...

I appreciate, like the players, most are past caring, but if last week is the standard then we have the choice of players who don't want to/think they'll be here next year versus younger players who might not be up to it. Neves shouldn't start after last week, hopefully a goodbye performance versus Norwich. Neither Saiss or Boly deserve to play although one of them probably has to
--------------------Sa-----------------
-------Boly-----Coady-------Gomes-----
Jonny------Moutinho----Dendoncker---RAN
-----------------------Cundle----------------
--------------Fabio-------Neto------

I’m away for the weekend with the mrs and kids to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, so this is the second game in a row that I won’t watching… and to be honest, I’m not even that bothered.

Thanks to Bruno & co for that!

Edit: that said, I do hope that the players actually try this week. Especially for those of you attending!

Chelsea are very beatable at the moment (or certainly not to lose). So we need to play our strongest team of fit players, which there aren’t many of.

Can see West Ham failing to win again for the rest of the season, so if 54 points would have been enough then it will be immensely frustrating if he don’t get there, when we would only have needed 14 points from 14 game. Need at least a point from this then.

Not being an arse here Jinky but will you still buy a season ticket if offered it? The poll on the season ticket thread for those on the waiting list wanting to buy is changing if Stan Hullis's post yesterday is anything to go by.

As for the game, I'd take Tony's team if Lage is to play that system.

If he puts out the same team as Brighton then he should walk away at 5pm. The likes of Cundle, Toti, Chinquinho and for me a good outing for Chem Campbell should be the least he should try.

PS Lage has got Covid and will be missing...

I've been thinking about this, Sniffer. If you'd have asked me at Christmas, I would have definitely taken the chance to get a season ticket. But with my current apathy levels towards Bruno, a large chunk of the playing squad & the team in charge of the club (Shi & co) I can't say I would, as it stands. Particularly when members can generally get tickets for most games anyway.

There's the obvious concern that we *could* turn a corner and get back to the level we were at first year or two after coming up where it's nigh impossible to get in the ground on your own supporter number if you're a member, but that seems a million miles away at the moment.

As for this Chelsea game, I see Tony Roberts is taking charge because Bruno has covid and isn't travelling.

Oh, just seen the other thread.

Can an admin merge the threads please?

I wouldn't bother if I were you, it's a very expensive way to waste your own time and feel unhappy. And I can walk to the game, you can't.

Imagine if we concede first and then actually score when he's not there. Would be quite telling. I'm pretty sure we won't miss his amazing tactical arm waving from the touchline anyway.

I can see Lage in communication to Roberts via earpiece “Now Tony, put your arms in the air and wave them round violently in circles. If the players can’t understand these directions, they only have themselves to blame”

Win this weekend and let’s bin Lage off and give the full gig to Tony Roberts. Johnny would be delighted!

Roberts has apparently said Podence may be available as he's back in training.
Wonder if that'll further the conspiracies flying about.

Shoud hope Podence is back training. Went off injured against Villa 5 weeks ago. You’d be back playing by now even if you’d broken it, which I’d assume if that had happened would have been announced and not just cryptic injury news pre Newcastle.
