Tuchel will need a work permit won't he, so no taking training for him just yet

Tuchel isn't even in the UK at the moment. Kick off is in 51 hours or so.

There is a minor issue with that plan :)
I heard WJ's work permit had arrived, and there's a possibility he might play Wednesday. If not as you were in the quote..

I think whoever manages them will likely start Tammy Abraham though after his hat-trick at the weekend, and that bloke loves scoring against us...

At least we all know that there’s no point in turning the tv on until the match kicks off. It’ll be an hour of pre-match discussion about Lamps/the new man, clearly.
At least that will be the match we are playing - makes a refreshing change

Going to be manager for the game apparently. Only has to be in quarantine when not training or at a match, so just needs a Covid free test

Is Tuchel likely to be all that great?

Don't remember his Dortmund side ever reaching the highs that they previously did under Klopp, though they did lose most of their best players in that period too. PSG is a bit of a cushy gig for the most part, hard to really draw any conclusions from his time there.

Tuchel has a reputation as a control freak and not getting on with higher club management doesn't he?.......should work well with Chelsea?

Lets hope Tuchel gets off to a nightmare start then. We are all hoping, and so is Frank Lampard.

“It was unlucky [last year]. I was training before the game of Newcastle and the pitch was wet. We had some rain and I slipped on the pitch and injured my ankle. I spent three months recovering, but the job we did was very good because after that I managed to play a lot of games in a row.

Even Willy is in on the cover up :D

Tuchel will be in the dugout - how has he got a work permit so quickly?

I suspect the paperwork went in before yesterday...

Because on the face of it Lampard should either have gone after the Leicester defeat or be in the dugout tomorrow. They won the cup game in between.

I read they wanted to get rid before the Leicester game but the paperwork issue and Covid test delayed things.

I'm not sure about this game. Getting rid of their manager now was probably the worst thing that could happen for us. All their players will now be hugely up for it with the the new manager in the dugout. We could get tonked....
On the other hand all our players seem to be confident, going by their interviews anyway. Nuno won't know how they will set up, so it'll be back to what we know i reckon, which might be a good thing. Concentrate on us, not them. We had enough for them last time out anyway, although maybe no Podence.
As we struggle to even score in brothel with the our centre forwards i feel that the team will be set up to try and get a point. Will we get one? Fuck knows...
I'm not expecting anything from this, so it will be a nice surprise if we get something.
