Following the Government’s move to Plan B, it is now a legal requirement for supporters who attend Premier League matches to show an NHS Covid Pass or recent negative lateral flow test result before entering the stadium, otherwise they will be denied entry.

The new requirements came into effect from Wednesday 15th December and will be vital in helping to create a safe matchday environment for all supporters to enjoy the action on the pitch.

Therefore, from Wolves’ Premier League fixture against Chelsea on Sunday 19th December, all fans aged 18 or over will be required to pre-register their Covid status ahead of arriving at the stadium.

Plenty of availability around the ground for a handful of tickets still available for this. I'd be tempted if there wasn't such a big risk of it getting called off.

If it's called off you'll get your money back or the ticket will be valid for when it's replayed.

Hopefully Vinnie is taking note that this is another example of the 10,000 plus fans on our ST waiting list that 'can't ever get a ticket', not actually wanting a ticket or not being able to afford one at circa £50. I know Covid is having an effect on sales but we're at home to a team very near the top of the league when schools have finished etc., etc.

With our Mexican fan base unable to travel at short notice perhaps they will start to realise the value of the legacy customers that go every week?

What I would ask is - the FA made Derby play their U18s vs Chorley last season. Couldn't even play the U23s as they'd had contact with the first team, who were riddled. Chorley won and this wasn't found to have compromised the integrity of the FA Cup.

So what is the base line for calling a cancellation, UEFA say you need 13 players including a keeper, if you have that then you have to fulfil the fixture. The Premier League haven't said anything as far as I know, it all seem ad hoc.

A fair point but we muddle through when the weather is shit.

I don't like the notion that some clubs are being told no, others are being told yes, but none of us know what the threshold is.

Yes. Leicester V Spurs getting rejected and then on the day it’s cancelled?

I can only guess it’s because they have loads testing positive and then they can’t be sure the remaining players aren’t positive due to delays in testing

Manchester United apparently have 7 players in the entire squad who are both Covid and injury free. Leicester have a minimum of 9 cases but have closed their training ground which probably influence the decision to allow the postponement.

With Chelsea we know Kovacic is isolating as he is positive, and we know there were further positive tests yesterday, but no idea on numbers. They are playing tonight and have done a further round of tests this morning as part of the pre match protocol. I suspect there will be further positives. I’m really dubious that Sunday will go ahead.

Some reports have it as 7 AND 9 so fuck knows what to believe.

Omicron is absolutely everywhere, if players don't pick it up at their clubs they'll be getting it from the community.

They did have three sites for the first team, youth and academy training/games when I was involved in academy football. I think they mainly use Carrington for the first team and keep The Cliff and Littleton Road for the non first team games and training. Their academy also used Bury's facilities [and Bury kids did wear a MU kit, so assume it was all funded by MU].
