I've just had to do a recording for Drive time too.

Media whore

Well, I must have made a very good impression this morning as they rung to see if I wanted to go on tonight been as I never managed to get on this morning...

Just met Jim Leishman. I know you're all jealous.

I was in a conference call which involved amongst others Sir Bob Murray.

Thread bump after nearly three years...

Just reading about the new Muhammed Ali film from HBO. It reminded me that I met him and shook his hand at 2012 Olympics thing here in Guildford. Got a photo of it somewhere.

I've a few Stephen Graham related ones.

He nearly ran me over in the car park of my local co-op.
I had to apologise to his Mrs (actress Hannah Walters) as my late dog went bounding towards for fuss her after I dropped his lead. Managed to grab him just in time.
His kids go to the same school as my middle son.
My eldest has served and chatted to him on a few occasions at a local fast food joint.

He lives in Ibstock Leicestershire. Which is right near where I work, and I drive through there every day. Never seen him though. There's a local chip shop which he's taken Shane Meadows in once apparently.

I threatened to drag Eddie Large from his car and kick him round the Waitrose car park we were in. He was driving too quickly and almost ran a child over.

My ex-girlfriend's folks were/are besties with Nicholas Cage so I've met him a few times.

Bought an apartment in Portishead with a woman from Big Brother...the one that said "I love blinking, I do".

Carried Denis Norden's shopping home for him and he gave me a slice of swiss roll and a cup of tea. I had met him a couple of times before that, he didn't randomly invite people in for tea and cake. He was bloody tall.

Made the gravelly voiced bloke from the darts a ham sandwich last year. John McDonald (the guy who announces them on) wanted a tuna one but we didn't have any.

Erm, what?

With or from...?

Sorry, that was supposed to be 'from'. In my defence, I was on a conference call when typing that post. Anyway, she was a hairdresser by the time she sold me her gaff.

Back when I wasn't such a tubby funster, I used to take a spin class and water aerobics class with 4 women who were, at the time, in Holby City...or maybe the other one. I wasn't into water aerobics, but come on.....

That makes more sense! :icon_lol:

Just remembered another one - helped Gilbert O'Sullivan (during his weird haircut/dress years) out when his bag broke coming out of Budgens in Weybridge in the late 70's - thanked me, but really didn't want to be 'recognised'.

As mentioned previously in this thread I have pretty much no claims to fame.

One of the closest I got was Alexander Armstrong holding the door open for me at the Malmaison hotel in Birmingham. Ben Miller was with him too but he was less polite and would have let the door slam on me. The bastard.

I'll add my amazing one. I sat behind Ian Hislop on the way back from Crete.

One of the best ones I saw in here was the Danny Dyer one. Still makes me laugh.

It was fairly surreal.

My favourite one from here is Paddy catapulting prawn brains into Lorraine Kelly's hair.
