Comedians

Burr's rant in Philadelphia always great for a laugh.

didn't love his last special but he's pretty quality, should be a good show

Off to see Bill Bailey tonight.

Bill Bailey is class. First tour he's done in a while I haven't been to.

My first time seeing him live.

You are in for a treat, his comedy is usually very intelligent.

Want to see James Acaster at some point but nothing on ATM.

Can imagine enjoying Bill Bailey, if he wasn't too... silly. David Baddiel though I have no idea what he'd be like - intrigued, I'll have to YT him.

Bill Bailey was good rather than amazing. Seemed to be a lot more topical/political stuff than I've seen in his other stuff - less whimsical silliness. More smiling and chuckling rather than belly laughs.

So the weekend gone was the re-arranged Dara show from march postponed owing to the snow. He was good, not as good as last time, but he's still a master of the art of stand up.

Differently, went to see Dr Phil Hammond last night. He's doing a show celebrating 70 years of the NHS. Interesting, and quite political.

Saw Dave Gorman at the weekend. A bit meh to be honest, like a weak episode of Goodish. Not a patch on how he was when I saw him 5 years or so ago.

Yeah, his live stuff is written with a view to using it for the next series of Goodish. I saw him live a few years ago at the Wulfrun and really enjoyed it, but was then left cold when I saw all the same material used in the following TV series.

I guess he's over-committed to Dave for the show and doesn't have time to sit down to write separate material for the live stuff.

Goodish is finished now. Not doing anymore so what is on the current tour isn't going to appear on a TV Show.

I have 2 tickets for Gorman in Wolvo for the end of November but I can't make it. If anyone wants to buy them and see a gig inside a Leisure Centre drop me a PM. Just want what we paid for them.

Yeah, it was new material just not particularly strong (imo).

Dave Gorman doesn't do it for me. I liked "Are you Dave Gorman?" but partially cos I knew number 6. Recently read the book, which was lightly entertaining.

Am off to see Stewart Francis tomorrow. Believe it's his farewell tour. King of the one liners, he's been ace whenever I've seen him before.

Jeez. Must be good live. Awful on TV shows for me

How do you do a spoiler?

like this but without the space in this bracket -> [ /spolier]

I thought the 'Are you Dave Groman' was funny in a student kinda way but went to one of his live shows and thought he was poor.

Are You Dave Gorman is awesome, as is Googlewhack.
