Comedians

Maybe he doesn't want to go out in extreme weather conditions and is heeding the advice not to travel?

turns out he was in london. driving up the motorway possibly not the best option today?
anyway, he has rearranged.

saw him last tour and he was great. but my mate who I did a lot of gigs with died last january, and I am unsure i have anyone to go with (mrs jelly is not a fan) and also whether it'll bring back uncomfortable memories (which I have to be honest will happen when gig-going resumes anyway).
That said, off to see reg d hunter at the end of this month and martin was a big fan. indeed reg was one of the last things we did together.

Enjoy mate! His last tour was really good. Suspect you're in for a treat and I might regret not going.
Last time phones were banned, so when you arrived, you had to put your phone in this mini "safe" thing (you keep it with you) assume to prevent people recording bits of the show.
I decided to pass this time. Went for sigur ros this morning as discussed elsewhere.

Nothing will top his performance in. A Very Murray Christmas, imo

I never watch award shows but I'm guessing this is the most interesting/funniest thing that's ever happened?

Smith was clearly wrong but its really not a simple area

It was a shit joke and a shit reaction.

Without wanting to justify Smith's actions, I understand (as best as a white man can) why he'd be so offended.

Some people struggling with 2 people can be wrong at the same time out there today.

Im guessing Ricky Gervais is thankful he has decided to finish hosting events like this now. No doubt we are also going to see stories of fuckwits jumping on to a stage to lamp a stand up when they don't like a joke now

I really like Chris Rock but its a totally lazy shit joke I'd expect from Jim Davidson etc. I also really like Will Smith 🤷‍♂️

Actually should have just pasted Bunk's full thread, not much else to say (though people will definitely say much)

Low hanging fruit, innit.

Rock made his name by punching up, not down. It's a bizarre joke to make, IMO. Presumably he won't need to be told, in hindsight.

EDIT: Pierce seems like such a solid guy.

but which one do you like the best?

Smith has clearly got issues with all the stuff surrounding his marriage.

It didn't go unnoticed that he was laughing after the joke. It was only when he realised his wife didn't like it that he did something. Which was a massive overreaction. He's clearly very sensitive about how people view his family.

It's also ironic that plenty of women have come out on Twitter and applauded his actions for "standing up for his woman". They're completely against violence of course, except when it's on their behalf obviously.
