Had my daily walk in and around Wednesfield, pubs seemed relatively busy. Queue of four outside my usual barbers too, I think I can wait for that particular joy.

My barber is doing appointments only & booked mine 10 days ago - Friday was the first date he could fit me in.

A couple of places on the news last night saying they were fully booked until June and I've heard similar stories elsewhere.

Fortunately I've managed to nab an appointment for Thursday afternoon. Otherwise it was going to have to be a case of letting Mrs DW have a go because it's a crisis situation now (I was supposed to get it done before Christmas, I couldn't be arsed as it was raining all that week and said to her "it'll be reet, I'll sort it in early January", so I'm seven and a half months in now). I look like I'm fleeing the Eastern bloc, circa 1989.

I am getting Hairy Biker/Barry Gibb/Noel Edmonds mainly. Appointment booked for 28th April

I made the same call. Was going for a cut the day before the lockdown and discovered they were closed on Monday's and then the next day they were done for months

I caved around a month ago and the clippers came out. I'm about 2 or 3 weeks away from needing it trimmed to bring it up to a not having to wear a cap standard of hairstyle, so that should work out ok

I last had mine cut in September, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon so couldn't really give two stuffs about my appearance.

Had a pleasant few pints after work tonight. Catching up with a few people I’ve not seen since the last time the pubs closed. Did get a bit chilly once the sun disappeared, so made a retreat home.

Where you guys going to get your haircut where you’ve got to wait 3 weeks? Can you not just walk in somewhere during school hours next week and get sorted?

Having mine cut at my usual place in Bridgnorth and they have a backlog. Will be my first since August

A lot of places really are booked for the next month and beyond. They can't operate at full capacity which doesn't help.

You then factor in that no-one at all has had a proper haircut for 3+ months (many will be much longer than that) unless you're a baldy or lucky enough to live with a hairdresser...

I Let some girls at work have a crack, they’ve done alright tbf. But near work there’s 3 barbers within the space of 100 yards, when they are open before Christmas i just popped out from work and went wherever there was little to no queue. I can’t be doing with queing for a haircut anytime, Covid or non Covid.

Seeing these people today joining 15 man queues for a haircut, I don’t get it

Wife was giving my son haircut using my clippers, had grade 2 guard on it, but she hadnt put it on properly, 30 seconds in guard drops off before she could stop, has given him a grade 0 stripe across the back of his head.

9 year old locks himself in the bathroom crying, wife in bits, me trying desperately to stop myself creasing up, as thank fuck I was in the clear.

Now he has haircut which makes him look like a cross between a peaky blinder & the boy with the striped pyjamas
