Crystal Palace (A) 6/11 Build-Up & Match Thread

How have they not scored. I’m pretty confident Palace have “deserved to win”.
Palace have been the better team, but the margins haven't been that extreme, as said, if our front 3 had managed a 6/10 rather than a 4/10 we'd have probably got a point. I feel that the back 5, Neves and Mout have been played well, but have been let down by brain farts from the keeper and poor general play up front.

Yes it certainly is!

*Moaning that you are bored,
*that everyone is shit,
*that you want to be entertained...
well, I must be the only one then...we were great Neves MOTM then

Think a draw is the most we deserved today tbh. Coady has been ok. Kilman m.o.m. again for me. Vitinha doesn't do enough. desperately need Neto back.

Not doing much of anything for the club these days, ay?

Not so sure.

They had a lot of “nearly moments” first half, and with that level of pressure then a goal was coming either through quality or luck. That’s what happens if you play a lot of ball in the opposition half. Same as us against Everton.

Sa as had to make a few saves, Guaita nothing bad the FK, which was routine.

Just second best in so many aspects today. Workrate, pressing intensity, crispness of passing, attacking intent...pretty difficult to take any positives from a performance like that

Vitinha?

One of those games where we really could've done with the extra man in midfield. Hindsight 20/20 though, I felt fairly confident yesterday (!)

I do think Mou's early yellow hurt as well, he couldn't be nearly as aggressive in pressing

Better coached team have won this today I think. Just not got it right today. Brush it off and on to the next one
Thing is, I have a really hard time blaming this one on Bruno when two of our three most important players were so... Poor.

Tough to tell if the tactics are at fault when your spine goes missing, I guess is what I'm trying to say.

FT.

Verdict thread is up.

It's not just today because he hasn't just been shit in this exact way today. He started shading in this direction before his injury, and yeah, it's pretty fucking frustrating to watch him ruin so many attacks all on his own, assuming his first touch is good enough to let us build some threatening possession in the first place.

It riles me to an irrational degree, I grant you, but right now we are losing every ball we don't play on the floor, and Raul has to take the bulk of the criticism for that. And it's crippling our ability to play the sort of football we saw in games 1-3.
This is bollocks Alan.

Palace have made sure every time the ball goes near Raul he's had Kouyate on his toes. We've also had very few players in and around Raul when he's had the ball.

Our problems seem to be the manager lacking tactical ability to change where Viera had it right

That happens sometimes, got to move on and learn.

Palace definitely the better team, but they’ve had to work hard for it. And their second was a gigantic deflection. Wolves off the pace for sure, but that’s midtable football teams for you.

You can be as angry as you like about it
