Depending on how we get on vs Brentford, I'd really like Kenny to be aware of how much trouble Rob & I are putting in to get to this match, and I know he reads this forum, that I'd like him to select Deslandes for the start...
After all we're not going to get into the far distant play offs, so why not select some of these young kids and let them play their hearts out to impress.

Why don't some of you knowledgeable types select a team with at least 5 or 6 hotshots from the under 21s?

Team selection will be very interesting I expect the keeper will change plus the inclusion of Jack Price. Anyone have the latest update on Williamson?

Williamson is out of the Derby game

So back to the back 9 and a forward about 60 yards away from the nearest Wolves player. On the plus side, it will be a 1-0 defeat

Or bring in a left back and central defender on loan who are fit to play and put them straight into the team for Batth and Doherty... Iorfa back in and Hause to the middle in place of EEL

Its on the cards he could drop Mason again if he goes with his preferred defensive system. That would get the fans off the fence.

Clearly we are not going to do that either. I would guess KJ would like nothing more but the financial side of things have been tightened even more

You can back Derby at 13/10 this morning. Seems more than fair...

I think Kenny will go:

Ikeme
Doherty - EEL - Batth - Hause
VLP - Coady- Saville - McD - Rowe
Siggy

 :wallbash:

This is a game where going with one up top and packing the midfield would actually be justified; for all their recent struggles Derby have a lot more quality than us (and indeed most teams in the division) so setting up to at least in part contain would be ok. It would be such a Ken 2015/16 thing to do if he went 4-4-2 and open against a team like this after setting up extremely negatively against a long stream of dross teams.

This team, of course, will never happen but it's arguably the time to be radical, we have a lot of players who are in no form at all and aren't playing their way out of it, and/or aren't anywhere near good enough.

Again, why has the manager given up on Price and McDonald? I'm gonna laugh myself stupid if he pairs them and we control possession en route to 3 points.

I think I'm going to have to start drinking at 9am to be in a fit state to watch the game.

Martinez

Ebanks-Landell Iorfa Hause Rowe

Price (c)

Coady Saville

Sigurdarson -------------------------- Enobakhare

Mason

SUBS: Ikeme, Batth, Doherty, McDonald, le Fondre, Hunte, Byrne

EEL outside because he lacks any form of discipline and his crazy rampages out of defence will do less harm at full back. He's got the pace to get up and down the line and if you stop him wandering too far forward shouldn't be too much of a hindrance to us in possession.

Rowe as a massive stop gap until Williamson comes back and we can blood Deslandes. He has at least played the position at this level before and has been known at times to actually do some form of defending.

McDonald because trust him about as far as I could throw the gormless, lumbering clown. We need players with character and he wouldn't bother fighting his way out of a wet paper bag if it was warm and cozy inside.

Coady - Price - Saville as we will need to go 3 in midfield vs Derby. All 3 should theoretically be able to add a bit of bite. Price as captain because he's a fucking warrior and we need our players to stand up and be counted right now.

Sigurdarson and Mason have proven that they work hard, can both hold the ball up to a reasonable extent and link quite well together. Bright because he's a bit of a wildcard and at 17 has the chutzpah to just go at defenders and maybe make something happen. He's also not van La Parra.

Not much width but we're going to be under the cosh whatever we do so we don't really need to worry about breaking Derby down. Just weather the storm and hit them on the break or grab a set piece.

Won't be in Wolverhampton till about 11 & as I am driving up probably shouldn't start drinking quite as early - going to have to watch this sober

Has anyone considered that after a few below par performances, Wolves might just go out and play well against one of the better teams in the division?
