Earworms

Knights of Cydonia is a common one for me.
But most often (and most annoyingly...) is Black Lace's Do the Conga, only with the words "Do do doo, jenga jenga jenga..."
I don't know why...

This morning my brain has fixated on the hymn Give Me Hope In My Heart. Don't think I've heard that since I was in school.

Dancing In The Moonlight today. That's my son's fault. Despite Thin Lizzy breaking up a good 15 years before he was born, he's a big fan.

My wife has bought a very pleasant, easy listening Christmas CD by Kacey Musgraves - the problem is I now have "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" stuck in my head!

Never Too Late by Quo this morning. Bonus.

Oh my God, Quo stuck in your head, must be like having tinnitus

Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton today.

Bearing in mind I'vs listened to Classic rock etc from a very early age it's amazing what crap actually lodges in your brain and won't leave, this morning I've got this :

Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton today.

I was putting together a Disco playlist yesterday, and this was on it, but then it got replaced in my head by Cuba, then Last Night a DJ Saved My Life, then flaming Oops Up Side Your Head!

Loving You by Minnie Ripperton this morning. Meant I got to try out the really high note on the bike.

Various tracks from Kveikar by Sigur Ros. Cos I was listening to it loudly in the car this weekend.

For some bizarre reason - For You Blue by The Beatles. I haven't heard it in months.

That's what I was saying there's no reason why these songs pop into your head, unless your brain has an autoshuffle feature on your memory ??

I got "That's the way, uh hu, uh hu, I like it" stuck in my head and been there all morning. Not heard it in months and don't even like the bloody song but there it is!
