3.00 O’clock this afternoon on the red button / bbc iplayer.

A chance to watch it all again. Reminisce about what you were doing and where you were watching it. Comment on football in 1990 and how good the players on show were.

Can Lineker or Beardsley make an impression for the best of Thread?

I shall definitely tune in.

I can remember it well. My brother's under-15s had their presentation day in the afternoon. Trophies given out by Ricky Hill of Luton Town. Couple of beers in the local golf club, pit stop in the pub on the way back and sat down if front of the telly with surprisingly, a load more beer.

We had some really weak players in this team. Bit like the last semi final we over achieved to get this far.

Cracking start by England. Breakneck pace from both sides considering the temperature.

Shilton, Butcher and Robson were all past it.

We only really played well against the Netherlands and Germany and we didn't win either game.

Trevor Brooking was an excellent co-commentator. Only ever interjects when there's actually something to say.

Could interrupt Motson a bit more and it would be fine.

Waddle looks like he’s running in treacle, don’t remember him being that slow / unfit.

It depressed me thirty years ago and I don't need any help in 2020! Seeing shilton back peddle like that makes my eyes bleed. Seeing Gascoigne walk is still a travesty. Brazilian bastard ref lol!

I always picture Waddle blowing out of his arse everytime he was stood waiting to take a free kick

I always picture Waddle meandering up from the centre circle to miss a penalty.

Had been out there for the earlier three group games and already had plans in place to return for the final if we got there. Well not so much of a plan, just I knew I'd be getting to Italy one way or another. Policing had been draconian on Sardinia but figured it would be easier to get tickets, hotels, flights on the mainland. When Gascoigne got booked it just seemed so wrong and the remainder of the game was a blur - goodness knows what it must have been like for him. In a strange way, I was pleased we didn't get to play in a final without him.

While Bully was my hero, Gascoigne made the tournament.
