Everton 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

All we can presume that Mon-Fri they are great at Compton then matchday it falls down. I guess because in training, like a game, we can't defend them so we look ace then.
Interesting view. I guess Nuno should take some flak for the corner policy.

1) why do you keep quoting yourself
2) People are debating with you. Obviously they don't agree with part of your view, regarding the use of Arrogant Idiot. No one is saying you are wrong regarding his set plays or performance tonight. So not sure why you are still going on about it.

You didn’t see the game yet feel you can criticise people who did - interesting....
I’m not sure they were watching the same game as me. We played well but with no cutting edge & the kids did well overall.

Collective responsibility isn't it really. Nuno, coaches, players as a unit.
It's a fairly recent issue though, up until Christmas we were doing OK with our set plays under Nuno.

Performance and points wise we’re in the same group of teams as Newcastle, Burnley Palace etc
this season.
A lot needs to go right this summer to move back towards being even just a top half side again.

Forgot we were playing. On the plus side, it’s another game down. I don’t really care much for this half arsed soulless shit that we have had to endure for 12 months. Lockdown has changed the whole trajectory of the club. Only time will tell if Nuno can turn it around.

When hyperbole becomes the order of the day then it does rather make discussions pointless.
It's the way of discussion forums. Every single one of them. People use hyperbole to make a point, you just have to filter it out. There are well respected posters on here who use hyperbole all the time and it's just accepted. When others use it, it becomes a point of discussion rather than being accepted. It's just the way it is.

I thought this was a discussion forum? I have yet to have a sensible reply (ever) as to why people think he is an option for Wolves going forward. I argue that he was great but now he is past it. It is not that difficult. Surely Vitinha had to play tonight? I have accepted that ‘arrogant idiot’ is bit unfair but in the heat of the moment .. He did cost us the game tonight in may ways ...

It has all gone wrong. Not helped by our tiredness & injuries.

If he is staying then just his experience will be of value, especially to the like of Vitinha (if signed).

As you pointed out in your last post, tiredness is an issue with the squad and his the oldest player we have so no doubt hitting him harder. We have probably over used him, sometimes because we had no choice. He looked like he was running on empty tonight.

I would point out Kenny that laughing at someone’s post is hardly debate. Johnny75 has only ever laughed at all my posts (tonight again & as far as I can remember has never debated) which is why I got a ban for over-reacting at such disrespect. I don’t care if someone disagrees with me - I just want to know what others think. Clearly a majority disagree with me on the value of Moutinho - as they do Rui - but the GK for me was the one playing tonight & Vitinha has done enough recently to replace Moutinho. it is my opinion.

I agree - & if you are running on empty - should you take control of all the dead balls? If he stays with Wolves in some capacity I will be more than happy. I like him!

What do you suggest, someone else should start grabbing the ball off him?

If you are following instructions then yes.

RAN took a corner in the first half and made Mouts look good.

If we're real about it, Joao is done tbf. It's been absolutely wonderful watching him play, and the impact and influence he's had on the professionalism of the players will remain after he's gone. Pragmatically though, I hope he goes this Summer, and releases his doubtless substantial wage into an area we can invest the money and get more on pitch value. An arrogant idiot, he is not.

I didn't actually watch the game, couldn't fit it in with the kids and running around after work, but judging by the thread it'll be last on match of the day!

Why bring another poster into several of your posts tonight Beaver? You’re entitled to your opinion and you want people to do debate them with you which is fine but keep it to posts and not posters.

Sounds like a plan.

It was a good game by us in parts - but no cutting edge. Certainly seen far worse & if we had scored the denied penalty?

I don’t understand. If someone laughs at your post are they not getting involved? I have not laughed at anyone’s post tonight by the way. It is disrespectful unless a response to a funny comment. I understand that Johnny75 is elite - is that your point?
