Doesn't necessarily need to be the best, just favourites.

Murray

Foley
Boly
Lescott
Douglas

Neves
Rae
Moutinho

Jota
Bull
Keane

Stowell, Emblen, Burke, Kelly, Thomas, Venus and Freedman on my bench.

Murray; Foley, Coady, Lescott, Jonny; Neto, Neves, Moutinho, Sako; Bull, Jimenez

Subs:

Patricio, Thompson, Boly, Rae, Costa, Jota, Ebanks-Blake

Had to include Helder Costa from that first season under Fosun. I know he didn't live up to the potential we thought he had, but he was exceptional for a good while.

Stowell
Muscat (before he ate himself)
Streete
Curle
Thompson

Neves
Downing

Kightly (before he left)
Bull
Jota
Dennison

Murray, Pollet, Foley, Cook, Keane, Jarvis, Mutch

I'll always be biased to that back to back promotion side under Turner on age and what it meant grounds

Neto will soon displace Jarvis though I reckon.

More the timing and the pens than the Brookside extra look. Left back hasn't been an area of strength, alternatives are in short supply

We can agree to disagree. Starting with 10 rather than 11 (9.25 if you consider Thommo) is a bit of a disadvantage though.

Ludo or Veno on the bench for me was a hell of a choice. Sorry Ludo.

I've put him in because of how it felt at the time, but the Floyd Streete love makes me feel a bit uncomfortable now.

"Bruno" as a catch all nickname for any big, black late 80s footballer is definitely off limits.

Shane Westley was way better than Floyd Streete by the way.

Never really bought the Westley love, too erratic. Played more games at a higher level for us, so probably better but not favourite
I'm still wincing now thinking of his two footed lunges. "Westley - nut the ref, Westley, Westley nut the ref" is a chant that tells you that supporters thought he was a tad of a hot head too. Think of what a poorer Mings would be like now without the wall to wall coverage available and you'll get Shane Westley.

Ricketts Coady Boly Elokobi
Traore Neves Moutinho Sako

A shame we didn’t have Ricketts when he was younger / for longer tbh, quality player and person generally. I am also a big Traore / Kightly fan hence the shoe-horning of Kightly into the middle.

Pre-emptive edit: yes I know it may not gel naturally and no I don’t care that it wouldn’t work.

Foley Lescott Coady Elokobi

Kightly Moutinho Neves Jota

SEB Jimenez

Murray
Foley.........Munro.......deWolf......Jonny
Sako.........Bailey (C)....Neves.......Waggy
.................Bull............JR.

It's just too tough, especially when you're old.
Hard for me to choose between Bailey/Moutinho and I can't get Kenny Hibbitt in even though he is one of my all time favs. Also agonised between Jonny/Parkin

Everyone's manager is Nuno, surely

No room for Ketsbaia in this bonkers lineup 😁?
