Fixture Changes Thread

Monday 23rd November 8.00pm
Southampton (H) Sky Sports

Sunday 29th November 7.15pm
Arsenal (A) Sky Sports

sunday evening. his dark materials will be an iplayer job then...

Another effing Monday game. Can we please have one on a Saturday FFS.

That's not a bad thing really. Raul (if picked) is playing on Thursday night, so a Saturday game would have been a problem

Whilst stadiums are closed I've got nothing against Monday night fixtures. Brightens up the start of the week and leaves the weekend free for other stuff.

Prefer the Sunday night/Monday night games whilst we can't go to be honest. Doesn't interfere with any other weekend plans/gives something to do at a time would likely not be doing much anyway.

Same here. Monday night is probably my preferred match day / time.

Friday is good if you win. Sit back and enjoy the rest of the football for the remainder of the weekend, we've done our bit.

Saturday 3pm is the "proper" time for games, especially for those of us who grew up only knowing Saturday afternoon games. It does feel weird that we haven't played at all on a Saturday in several months.
Having said that, the 6 hour time difference between the UK and TX turns 3pm kick-off into 9am and means coming to work an hour earlier to catch the whole game. Still better than getting up early to watch lunchtime games.
Wife 'tolerates' Sunday games but not happy. Monday is the quietest work day so it works out best for me.

The thing is it's the best part of 30 years now since it was always Saturday 3pm. If you're good in the Championship you'll get moved all the time, was happening to us in the mid 90s.

Essentially if you are always playing at that time it means you're absolutely shit.

There will come a time Deutsch, when 30 years ago will seem like only yesterday to you.

I understand the reasons for why we don't play on Saturday afternoons, but especially for attending a match it really is the only proper time.

Man Utd get an extra 29 hours R & R over us over Xmas

Agree with DW the 3pm Saturday kick off at top level died about 15-20 years ago. Even pre COVID you only had about 4 or at push 5 3pm kick offs.

Palace cup game moved to Friday 8th, 7.45 kick off. Will be on BT Sport Extra 2

Palace away still showing as 3pm Saturday 30th Jan and looks like Sky etc have got their picks for that weekend already published.

So has the all games being televised been stopped from then?

No, it's just they did the "all games" up to next week, pending what happened with regulations etc.

They'll sort it out between now and then.
