Football Support and Matchday Habits

Pardon me for trying to help. What should I have called it - the Supafan/Shit Supporter/Mark's Latest Wind Up thread?

I knew it was you, was only jesting Langers..

Lets get back on topic.

Greggs pre match or a balti pie in the ground?

Chicken Curry and Chips in the Western. Sets me up nicely.

Scratchings from the bloke in the subway?

I am again going back in time, but we used to get to the Waggon and Horses at about one o'clock, then be back in there after the match for a post match celebratory or consolation drink.

Hey you're the one who bought me into this conversation, take responsibility.

Mr. Tikka.

Why would you want to spoil a day at the football with a Greggs?

I had Greggs before and after the game on Saturday, both more palletable than the football served up.

Mind block where was Waggon and Horses? I'm sure I frequented it

There's my sort of attitude: drink after every match regardless of the result!

On the far too rare occasions I get over, I love the routine of the day.
Usually on an early flight in so I'm in the Moon around 0830 then weather permitting, a mooch around the town then into The Western for some rather early but lovely real ale, have a chat to whoever turns up, really savour the hour or two, as I don't ever do this in Ireland, then off to the game. And buy a programme.
Depending on the price of the return flight (last time the late flight was billed at £265 single, so fuck that) if I can get a late flight, it's more beer in The Moon, then a kebab or some rubbish, train up the airport to then fuck about with all the check in process.

Like Craig, I love the whole day, the people, the beer, the chat, the food and then the football...
In that order.
Love it.

Even better when the Drummer comes, cause obviously there's someone to share it with. + he's good company.

Yes the Waggon and Horses was on the Cannock Road, it closed a few years ago I think. Back in the day it was a decent enough pub.
