General Wolves News

Has gone from nowhere to be seen to first team player in 2 weeks. Decent 30 mins at United before fading but was anonymous at Brighton.

Need him to step up otherwise we are going to continue to struggle and it will be another mark against the summer recruitment.
Do you think we can let him have two hours of football before we write the kid off ?

Nuno fined £25k for telling the world he thinks Lee Mason is shit.

Wonder if Klopp will get similar for his comments this weekend. Oh wait, he hasn't even been charged...

And in unbelievable shock news, Wolves released info on the first team injuries and return dates. I had to look twice at the article to see if it was April 1st.

The bit about analysing mistakes is just what you'd expect to hear.

Wasn't sure where to put this but thought I'd share here. I'm quite fascinated by our set pieces recently, I think we are very poor at them in general (both attacking and defending). Gonna try and analyse it in the next few weeks and actually work out what it is but it feels like we have hardly anyone in the box at times, loads on the edge, and the two around the ball.

Also, I know some (I usually see these on social media mind) get quite upset about short corners. I have nothing against short corners but the ones we do are really odd I think. Like we are trying too hard to think outside the box.

Short corners. They just don't go in the box. That chart should say "Piss poor quality of chance created. Fucking stop it!" Our free kicks aren't much better either. The times Boly,Saiss rock up to the box only to trot back muttering "fucks sake" at the delivery.

I have nothing against a short corner as a way of mixing things up, but recently ours have become the rule rather than the exception. Added that too often we don't end up putting a decent ball in afterward (see the above chart for evidence) and its easy to see why people get frustrated with them. I certainly do.

Our throw-ins are a joke as well. Never seem to have an option, no movement, and we end up giving the ball away.

Just get Neto to wang inswingers in from one side and Neves to Wang inswingers from the other.

Totally agree about throw ins - it's such an obvious area where we could improve

Agree, nothing wrong with a short corner but don't over complicate it and don't fuck about, same goes for free kicks. plus don't do it every time. As for throw ins, we're just too slow, need more and quicker movement and quick delivery.

Have been whinging about it for a few weeks now, find myself moaning 'somebody move for him' every time we take one, nobody on the pitch ever listens to me

We may not create very good chances from set-pieces but at least we are the 3rd best in the league at converting them!
And Leicester are just shit :) but fourth in the league...go figure

Not much to figure. They score plenty of goals from open play.
