General Wolves News

Sounds like every crappy role I get offered on LinkedIn:

“entrepreneurial and forward thinking”, with contacts and credibility, who was a good salesperson

That is the role I posted the advert for on here isn't it? It's being reported on differently to what a lot of the role actually entails, which was effectively making as much as possible out of the academy and exiting players, loaned players.

The fan engagement index. Wolves are 36th (for 19/20) but in the top 5 for Prem clubs

When I checked last night there were just over 9k tickets left which would mean 13k have applied for the ballot...and yes I am desperate to get to a game even if it won't be the same as before.

Wolves are looking for progressive and engaged supporters to form part of its newly-launched dedicated fan consultation groups.

The initial four groups, of up to 20 fans, will work closely with the club in key consultation areas, with the aim of supporting and providing feedback on the club’s future vision, growth and progress.

Following the success of the matchday experience focus group, the new focus groups will be introduced to allow further consultation between the club and fans, with the key consultation areas developed based on fan and supporter group feedback.

Each member of the four focus groups will be part of a messaging group with club officials responsible for the specific area of discussion, where they will be able to share their own ideas, ideas from other fans or provide feedback on specific areas.

In turn, the messaging groups will provide a platform for the relevant club officials to have direct dialogue with supporters and provide updates on certain areas of the football club under their leadership.

Virtual meetings will be held throughout the 2021/22 season wherever required and representatives from each group will be nominated to meet with the club’s senior staff and discuss their progress during the season.

A new fan engagement newsletter will also be released regularly through official channels providing regular updates from the focus groups as well as other fan engagement news from across the club.

The initial focus groups for the 2021/22 season will cover the following areas:

Ticketing Group

This group allows supporters to pass on feedback regarding the ticketing process, from allocation of tickets to methods for supporters in which supporters can purchase tickets.

Retail Group

This group allows supporters to pass on feedback regarding the whole retail product range as well the opportunity to communicate with key staff to improve the fan retail experience.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group

This group will focus on the club’s equality, diversity and inclusion work giving supporters access to key staff who make up the clubs EDI group. The group will focus on topics such as the clubs work in the community, coverage of Wolves Women and how the club and fans can deal with incidents of discrimination or abuse.

Matchday Experience Group

The existing Matchday Experience Group will continue with the founder members for the 2021/22 season, however there will be limited space for new applicants also. The matchday experience group focuses on matchdays at Molineux and ensuring that the club provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all supporters. Successes from the matchday experience group include, various flag and mosaic displays, the branded Molineux Subway, the Fan Zone, closed doors stadium branding and the Raul Jimenez banner project.

Supporters can apply to join a focus group by completing the application form, which can be accessed by clicking here.

The focus groups are open to any supporter and the application process will take around 10 minutes to complete. Supporters can only sit on one focus group at a time and membership to a focus group will last for the duration of the season at which the application process will begin again.

The club hope to introduce more focus groups in the future, with further announcements being made through the official club channels. Supporters representing existing independent supporter groups are welcome to apply to join a focus group and the club will also continue to engage with independent supporters’ groups on relevant matters as they arise.

By applying to join a focus group, supporters are confirming they have read and agree to the Fan Consultation Group code of conduct.

Any questions on the fan consultation platform can be directed to help@wolves.co.uk. The deadline to apply is Friday 28th May and successful applicants will be contacted by the end of June.
