General Wolves News

Equating "questionable signing" to "hate" is stretching to say the least. The fact he's not a very good footballer is pretty much a general consensus, don't see anybody actually hating him?
Yep, and if the club are "making" him play for social media hits, even when he is bang out of form then that is not good for him or good for us.

Many times when the team has been announced we've asked "why is Hwang playing again?"

I think it's clear what the answer is.

The priorities are all over the place. The Ruddy vs Norwich situation you mentioned earlier, Adama going on his Make A Wish dream for which we received nothing, potentially Hwang playing for Internet hits...these could all cost us millions in prize money and yet we'll hit the fans with price rises and fuck around with eSports that no one cares about. And let the players go on holiday one week before the end of the season. And the manager disappeared for a fortnight because of 'Covid'.

We're being weird and I don't like it.

That's a perfect, miserable summary of shit! :(

Its not being too harsh to state that of the attacking players we have had available this season he is the worst option.

We had him on loan to see if he was any good, its clear he wasn't any better than what we had yet we still signed him. What makes it even more puzzling is we had another attacking player on loan at the same time, who was better than Hwang, yet we didn't sign him.

We also let another attacking player go on out on loan, although he splits opinions this player has an exceptional attribute that can be really useful in game management if only a little erratic. Hwang does not have any exceptional attributes to help influence games.

Non of this makes sense when you remove the money element from the decision process.

Not that I'm defending Hwang as I think he's crap but he's scored 1 less than Raul and Podence. Reaching the heady heights of 5.

They've all been fucking terrible.

Adama has 1 goal in 23 appearances and 0 assists for those wanting him back.

Can't resist comparing him to Dave Edwards for various reasons but ultimately Hwang does seem to be seen by many here (including me) as a bit like the manager's favourite. People don't like the manager who keeps playing him and shoehorning him into shit tactics that don't work and it earns him more ire - see the same with Edwards and Lambert. Jorginho and Sarri sticks out as another one.

Also Hwang is simply not good enough for this level and we knew this even before buying. It's unfortunate for him and he didn't decide to be bought but ultimately to me I associate him with bad business, bad decision-making by the higher-ups, and bad tactics.

Even if the additional YouTube views convert to increased advert revenue and and shirt sales it won't equate to £11m, so it's false economy even before you take the football element into account

I’ve seen the figure £6.6m being bandied around online tonight, which is what we’ll end up losing if we slip to 10th on Sunday (which could well happen, considering we have bloody Liverpool and we’ll be beaten comfortably).

Got an extra million coming in from the ST holders, though.

£4.4m for 10th. The higher figure was 11th when Palace were winning

To me it's incredible that if we'd beat Norwich, the whipping boys of everyone bar us, we'd have guaranteed 8th place, therefore cementing that extra 4.4m, which is the cost of chiquinho and change. And 3.4m more than the raised ST prices.
Wtf were the players and manager thinking? I can forgive the rest of the shit results, but this one, the last home game and against a team that shipped 56 goals more than they had scored this season. It's baffling.
I'm still not sure it's the manager entirely, but something has to change. Hopefully the rumours we hear of lots of players coming in and out come to fruition.

The players don't really care about the league position, it doesn't affect them financially or professionally either way. Whether that's checking out on the manager or just a general end of season malaise. Irrespective of the manager it's time for a refresh

I agree. Hopefully the people who are doing the signing and sales are up to the job...
