General Wolves News

I sort of recruited Paddy many, many years ago. Can I get some retrospective money back?
Pretty sure it was you pressurising me on here a few years ago which convinced me to get a season ticket again.

It was 2017 so worked out pretty well initially I guess.

To be fair all you guys did was point out that I was burning money by buying individual tickets for every game and there were tons of season tickets available then (2005 I think, maybe 2006)

All worth it for your FBI moment at the turnstiles

Absolutely. I will always have that. As will you who so helpfully laughed rather than pointing out my error.

I helped!...after your 2nd attempt to get in the ground via waving a ticket book at a bemused (and stressed out) man behind the screen and walking into a metal gate that refused to move for you

The Wolves press release at the end confuses me. Are they saying the company has 82% of customers lose money or the 82% of people using any FX Trading platform lose?
Looked this up and the 82% thing is across all this sort of trading.
Seems this figure has to be put on everything when they advertise.

It's a number specific to that platform, all brokers have to put the percentage of their retail customers that lose money as part of the FCA regs

That's not to say that their platform is any more costly than any other, it's just that forex trading is really complex and volatile, and the general public don't tend to be very good at it, or the discipline required. It's basically spread betting on currency fluctuations to the tenths of cent/penny. Probably even less moral as a sponsor than gambling, as its just as addictive but at least most football fans will have a passing knowledge of the game, even if they do pick daft bets

Reading more on it. Seems the range is 64%-84%.
So people using this company must be like me and have no clue what it's about.

I may be missing something, but 97 is a very odd number? Why not 100?

The author did a TON of statistical analysis (he’s just released a book on stats-driven football, it seems); apparently there was big enough gap between the 98th and 97th best players that he didn’t feel it was right to put them in the same “tier”.

I’d just link the article but it’s behind a paywall and since ESPN is owned by Disney…

So an average of just over 4 players from every other team before you get to a wolves player, yet we did finish in 10th.

Or if you take the teams above us having better players and those below having worse then there are 9 players each before you get to a wolves player.

I guess Bruno really is a managerial great
