Gigs - First/Worst, Best/Last, Missed/P#ssed

Yes JDB co-wrote and played on it as well. Good tune.

Fantastic tune.

I love Kylie, I did own everything she'd ever done up to about 2004 and then no-one other than squares bought CDs much after that. But I think I'd find her fanbase at a gig a bit too much.

Lovely young lady I worked with in London around 2004-2007 was a massive Kylie fan. I felt like taking the piss but to be honest she was right. At superb pop, whether you like it or not, Kylie slays.

Kylie is super duper - Come Into My World is a fantastic track and a very well worked video.

I saw Dannii Minogue LIVE in concert at The Dorchester in Temple St. She was pretty good.

It's like I've walked onto the set of Men Behaving Badly :)

So jealous of this. I would have loved to have seem them as a four piece, especially on the Holy Bible tour.

First time I saw them was the Everything Must Go tour at the Civic. It was an amazing gig though to be fair. I should have probably added it to my best gigs list.

blimey you'd have loved early 91.
i caught their "clash" period in Brum in jan, dudley in feb and got signed in to Wolvo Poly in March to see em... im not a massive fan but that early period was exciting... although only 2 of us danced in Dudley to em...Nice fellas too but Jayne Houghton was a twat.

The Morrissey, free, first solo gig at the civic was pretty great, to be honest it was The Smiths but with Craig Gannon on guitar.

Wish i was ten years older to be honest, just to have seen all the top rank, barbarellas gigs in the 70's...know someone who went to them all... jammy bastard.

Also,just to agree with Nimrod..
Im no goth but the sisters gigs were fucking brilliant back then same goes for New Model Army.

When I was young I loved Tears On My Pillow, and I used to sing along to it. Shame it was a cover.

From the soundtrack to a terrible, terrible film that she starred in, The Delinquents. Do not ever watch it.

Don't think I saw it. Can't say I'll be rushing to.

New Model Army were a band who all my mates were into but for whatever reason I never listened to them.

Might give them a whirl to see what I was missing out on...

Oh and Dexter Fletcher is in the video for Some Kind Of Bliss.

Another top one - Weller at Telford around 2004/5. Immense.

He played in Hamburg when I lived there and the words "Paul Weller ist ausverkauft" cut me to my very soul. Was trying to impress a girl as well, I ended up going out with someone less attractive and with whom I had less in common. I was definitely in there as well. Sliding doors.

Didn't James/maniacs write some kind of bliss for kylie? Can't be arsed to google it
She was due to sing on Little Baby Nothing apparentky but they couldn't get record label clearance so got Tracy Lords instead. Some Kind of Bliss was sorting out unfinished business

I'm surprised with the kylie love on here, mind you she does quality pop music, and there's never anything wrong with that, the whole guilty pleasure music annoys me no end, quality pop music be it S club 7 or whoever,is there to cheer people up

No guilty about it.

I'm a Britpop kid but I love quality pop. Shite pop is shite, same as shite indie music is shite.

Kylie, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Bananarama - give it to me.

Yep, if you like the music and enjoy it then nothing guilty about it.

Bananarama at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2017, the last night of the only time the original line up toured the UK, was absolutely banging. Loved it.

Would've been interesting hearing Kylie sing "we are the useless sluts that they mould".

I can't imagine she'd agree to that lyric given her squeaky clean image.

You have heard her sing kids with Robbie Williams and seen the video? Or indeed the video for Can’t Get You Out of My Head? Both somewhat risqué!

Kids is a banging tune BTW. I was rather hoping she might be there to do the duet live at Knebworth as it was the last night of the Robbie Williams tour but sadly no dice.
