Good people of Britain...........PANIC

What's wrong with Quagmire Lane?

Snow coming down thick and fast by me, and has been for a while.

Yeah it's great, going to be building snowmen with the kids soon. Well, with one them, daughter is far too cool to be building snowmen now

Banging it down. Popping to Morrisons as soon as it opens and then putting the car to bed for the day.

Just wondering where the hell are all the gritters and snowploughs? Roads are lethal.

Normally roads like the Droveway and Wobaston Road are done fairly early in the process but I guess the major arterial routes are really bad and must take priority.

Cheers for the heads up. Last nights forecast said it wasn’t coming to the East Midlands. Looking this morning it had changed so I’ve just been out and got the shopping in before it started coming down heavily.

It's moving very very slowly which is the issue round here - so it's been coming down continually for hours on end now.

Finally, it's proper chucking it down down here! Need to dig out the sledge...

We had it yesterday morning through to early afternoon, can't see anything forecast for us again today though.

Just a few light flurries in NW Leicestershire yesterday. You’re further north in Derbyshire aren’t you?

Bit further North than you yes but not particularly North by Derbyshire standards, just off J28.

We've generally got off pretty lightly on the snow front so far this winter. Only really had a covering once so far and that was a couple of inches at most, gone the next day, then about the same again yesterday but not been warm enough to melt away yet.

Been caning it down with huge flakes for a few hours now. Settling nicely.
