Good people of Britain...........PANIC

We had some really heavy bursts (I mean really heavy) interspersed with lighter but still miserable stuff. My heating is having a quick go for an hour and then I will turn the thermostat down.

Been dreadful all day in Newquay. Fairly heavy rain throughout the day interspersed with some high winds whipping up.

Bought a new beanie for the winter. Took the bucket hat I'd been wearing this summer out me bag. Forgot to put me beanie in. It was lovely this morning, but been hammering it down for the last couple of hours, and it ain't stopping anytime soon... 😔

so were we! september has been ridiculously dry.
not got the heating on yet.
rain was heavy, and it felt dark today with all the cloud cover.

We weren’t. Now means I will definitely have to mow the lawn at least one more time this year. Was hoping to get away with it.

I would infinitely prefer the sunny and 32 degrees. It’s bloody freezing.

My kinda weather. When it's 30s this is what I dream of haha.

It's gunna be about 15 degrees and sunny here today, that's pretty much perfect for me

After 16 years in Texas I have learned to like the sunshine. The heat not so much. Nor the humidity.
Sunny, 20-25 degrees would be perfect for me, but wife always needs a jacket at 21 or lower.

temp has dropped. not putting the heating on yet, but whilst WFH am digging out some layers, and today I have put the housecoat* on.

*fuck the lot of you and your abuse, la 😜

As I have the joy of still working in a burnt out building I am not looking forward to winter. No insulation left in the ceiling after the fire so this place is going to be like a freezer.

Woken up to quite the blizzard. Of course with a red warning for parts of the country and yellow for snow nearby you would think the roads in Wolverhampton would have been treated. Of course not. Bloody lethal on the way to work.

Carnage out the there, wife is stuck on the way to work near Cannock.

Up here in the north-east the wind might just have been the worst I've ever known. Unbelievable, it felt like the whole house was shaking and sounded like the roof was going to blow away. No snow though, which is a blessing.

It started snowing about ten past five and in twenty minutes the roads were a mess. I’m knocking off early at ten. Two hours double time isn’t worth it to get stuck.
