Good people of Britain...........PANIC

Felt like I've been carrying a few extra pounds since the end of the season so just had a 10 minute each way stroll to Tesco. Reckon that's shed it all.

At long last a thunderstorm. Everything smells funny. It’s wonderful.

Yeah the extreme highs we're getting now are a bit hotter but nowhere near the length of time of 76, went on for weeks day after day.
Anyway whatever, we need to do something about it.
Yes, the Summer of 76 was three months long, didn't it also snow really late in the year as well ??

So I've been on a voyage of discovery today and found that compost fires are a thing! I had absolutely no idea compost could get hot enough to ignite!

Well the weather is shit today isn't it

If there were a bit of sun it’d be the perfect temperature.

My house still feels like a sauna, might try and rig up a desk in the garden.

Well thank fuck that's done. I strongly do not recommend having food poisoning during a heatwave...

Weird in my house today the way the heat is lingering in some places.

Downstairs toilet is usually the coldest room in the house but today it's like a little torture chamber. Random surfaces still noticably warmer to the touch than they normally would be.

Just trying to get some air circulating about as it's actually quite pleasant outside, particularly on the back where it's still in the shade.

The good old Mail.

Tuesday - Stop moaning snowflakes, it's Summer time

Last night the upstairs landing was the coolest place in the house weirdly (maybe cos it's dark and gets no sunlight). But this morning it's the hottest, muggiest part of the house.

It's quite nice out right now. 20C and a lovely strong breeze. I'm just gonna go for a walk along the river and through the park I think.

I tried to post these last night but gave up as it wouldn't copy and paste from the page I was viewing them on. The Express was just as bad insinuating that those who work from home were actually on the beach because the beaches were busy.

Still very bright and warm in London, very few clouds, but much more manageable 25-27C highs with a brisk breeze. Perfect beach weather, although still too warm to really concentrate on work without AC. Hoping that the showers forecast for this afternoon make it here, everything's dusty outside and could use a rinse.

Still very nice out. Slightly overcast but a lovely breeze and holding steady around 22-23.

THIS is what summer should be.
