Half-term report

Hoever has played an entire 150 minutes for us. Not even two full games. Don't think anyone can make much of a judgement on him so far.

Hoever is a better all round player for me. And he wasn't 37 million. ;)
Hoever is 18. In his only start at United he made quite a few defensive errors, one that should have resulted a in a goal but Cavani missed an absolute sitter.

He's an exciting talent for sure, I hope we make sure he gets the game time to develop in the long run (I wouldn't mind him right of a back three but doesn't seem the plan), but he's not the finished article at all. Semedo is the better option there right now.

Not for me, but that is my opinion.

He's showing plenty of promise, particularly in terms of his composure on the ball, but as you say he got away with that one and he was at fault at the back post against West Ham. We've got a proper talent on our hands, but he needs to be carefully managed.

Don't see how you can make this judgement after hardly any game time. I like the look of the lad, sure he's got a bright future but atm I'd be starting Semedo, who is improving all the time. I'd start Hoever against Chorley.

Dunno. They are starting that 18 year old kid up front every game.

Really good mailbag responses on the Athletic today. Answers a lot of questions asked recently. Maybe not all what people want to hear, but answers nevertheless.

Bad timing with the Willian Jose stuff perhaps! But my thoughts on the season so far...!
