I'm a pint half full kind of guy and always see the optism and positivity in life, including the club I have loved for over 40 years ish. But...Dendonker is awful, slow, offers very little etc etc. Yes, we need a striker, but from what I see, a quality MF is required. One to be the anchor in front of the back four, break play up, give it to Neves so he can dictate. We looked good going forward against Leeds but also weak in the middle of the park. Sorry to all Dendonkey lovers

If you are going to make the ever so original Dendonkey gag, perhaps spell his name correctly earlier eh?

He was Ok yesterday, he's an alright 3rd CM option in a 4231 when like yesterday your first choice is missing.

We don't need the type of midfielder you say to play alongside Neves, we need one who can carry the ball to complement him. If we wanted a ball winner we'd have just signed Palhinha

Whatever happens to him and wherever he plays, I never want to see him in the opposition box... anyone but him. Sa has more of a goalscoring instinct

I think we saw both sides of Dendoncker at different times yesterday. I thought he was arriving at situations seconds too late and running around offering little in the first half and he should score his chance. Then I thought he was very good 2nd half, some nice passes and some very good challenges.

I still wouldn't want him as a starter through choice but he'd be a useful squad player if you can get more performances out of him like he showed 2nd half yesterday.

Perfectly acceptable utility man who can come in a do a job for you in a number of positions. He shouldn't be starting regularly for a side aiming for the top 10 though.

Which makes it all the more shocking that he scored twice as many goals as Traore last season

First 2 responses kinda show why new people to the forum don't always stick around or post much.

But on the original post, Donk doesn't have a great many fans around here I don't think. He's adequate at fulfilling a limited role, but I don't think most people would have him as a first choice for a midfield 2. Ok as the 3rd player in a 3.

Yes it is just you.

Well I think we all know Adama also can't score for shit, so I wouldn't want chances coming to him either.

At least Traore has one season with impressive stats to show for his time here though, Dendoncker unfortunately has been pretty unremarkable the whole time

Thank you for judging the tallest dwarf competition. Same time next year?

No reason to be condescending and holier than thou about it though, is there?
I would argue that he's been condescending to Leander tbh. There's a line between criticizing a player and tearing them down. Admitting here that we've likely all crossed that line at one time or another.

With supporters like ours, who on the squad needs enemies?

Well done on saying squad rather than roster, but it is criticising
