January 2021 Transfer Window

What’s happened with him? He was theoretically a good signing for Spurs, with a £40m fee agreed, but hes had no impact at all.
Moutinho isn’t renowned for bringing through young players though, was a really weird signing for him.
He is not the best of professionals i would say.

He has the talent. He does not have the right mindset.

Also i would say Mourinho didnt have a word on his transfer. Thats was all on Mendes.

Same goes for Vinícius.

Vinicius looks decent from what I've seen of him.

I think that's a good buy as Spurs had no back up for Kane and he looks useful.

Mourinho has said that Fernandes has been a great professional and done well in every training session even though he’s not been playing

Oh yes, Vinícius is very decent. I just dont think Mourinho had any word on it.

Maybe that could be true for this season?

I don't know but i really doubt about that. Seems like he is returning this month but Im pretty sure Jesus wont play him either.

Maybe he could be a decent right back. But no more than that, i dont think so.

May force a bit of a rethink in terms of long term strategy I suppose. Probably did quite well to get Fabio, Vitinha, Ait-Nouri in before this.

I think we could look more to the EFL anyway tbf. For example if we want a young attacking option, Olise will be the next one out of the Championship I think.

And I'm still a big fan of Josh Dasilva!

Think Ait Nouri would have qualified anyway, not sure on Vitinha (not sure how much he played for U21s), Fabio pretty sure wouldn’t.

Will it prevent Vitinha and RAN making their deals permanent, if they don't meeting qualifying criteria, or does already being here on loan set a precedent for their full transfer?

I'm assuming we already have a legal right to make them permanent if we want to.

I wonder if the rule changes are part of the reason why the club bought so many young players last summer?

Well they’ll be fine because the deal is effectively already done.

Even if they weren’t, RAN is playing enough minutes to get in. Vitinha obviously isn’t, but with him looking no better than MGW so far and the need to sign another deeper CM to play alongside Neves anyway, then the £20m could probably be better spent

So long as they applied to the EU Settlement Scheme then that protects their rights long term anyway.

Was listening to a podcast about Serie B side Monza who are 4th in Serie B (Berlusconi owns them?). They've got a young forward who can also play wide called Dany Mota, currently in Portugal U21s playing as the forward. They talked about how he's in a strong U21 side and named Vitinha as one of the key players. Also said he has a similar low centre of gravity style to Podence. So wouldn't surprise me if he was on our radar!

Bingo! I've said it a few times recently.

Get an experienced striker in that can head the ball well..

Tomori joining AC Milan on loan with option to buy for 30m.

Romano reckons Leipzig interested in Simakan who we've been linked with. If they rate him, I'd just be going for him at this stage. We didn't go for Tapsoba in the end last January which seems a mistake right now.
