January 2022 Transfer Thread

These things are transient though aren't they, he isn't fourth choice (which is basically first reserve in our system) forever, he has the opportunity to become first choice. Saiss hardly kicked a ball before Christmas in 2018/19, most of us would have sold Kilman for relative buttons six months ago.

Ivory Coast didn't qualify, no. I bet he regrets playing for them now, caused nothing but bother with illness, injuries and travel disruption.

They are transient, but as you rightly point out, he's not getting any younger.

I'm just not sure I see a path back into the XI for him barring injury to someone else.

Well that's how they often get in.

0% chance Kilman starts against Leicester on the opening day if one or both of Boly and Yerson were fit. Now he's being talked about for England.

I'm actually not convinced of that. The 0% chance Kilman wouldn't have started anyway, I mean.

He wouldn't, Boly-Coady-Saiss was always going to be first choice and then Yerson was playing when Boly went off in the first friendly (we also played a back four a couple of times, to non-hilarious effect).

Max played because we had no-one else, essentially. Then took his chance and is undeniably a first pick now.

Before this season he had started a grand total of 16 league games over three seasons for us and quite a few of them were total crap.

Inter Miami are close to sealing a deal for Wolves striker Leonardo Campana.

Still don't rate Salcedo.

He's also been linked with Toronto this week. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out regardless of what I think of him as a player.

Boys got quick feet & loves a cheeky finish. Looked stronger than I expected too. Obviously YouTube etc etc. But honestly, I’ve never heard of him.

Yes, it’s YouTube, but that was an impressive collection - skills, power, instinct, work rate and composure - promising indeed.

He's pretty decent, would be happy with that if it's cheap. Estoril have been really good this season and he's stood out to me when I've seen them. Loan him back out and see if his development continues.

Linked with Chelsea and Arsenal 18 months ago...

One to sign and loan out or would he be worthy of a squad place?
