January 2022 Transfer Thread

So that’s why there is no option then. Settle in well and we can pick him up for a free unless Barcelona offer him new terms?
I mean Joao hasn't got a contract for next season! :D

Puig has at least another 12 months on his deal after this season.

Wages would be an issue but Barca are apparently shopping Ousmane Dembele around for 20m euros.

Finally a reliable source has his say on the Adama situation.

Perhaps Levy should make an actual cash bid, instead of pissing around with silly loan offers. I reckon we’ll let him go if there’s an offer of close to £20m this month. Especially now we have an extra body in that position & Neto is due back soon.

Loan plus obligation to buy in the summer is what I was just reading.

How does that in any way benefit us?? Just put the money up or fuck off - Levy is always a tight fucker, if this happens it will be on deadline day I reckon.
We can plan for the summer knowing how much we're getting for him?

Wouldn't bother me if it was a loan as long as the purchase was a guarantee rather than an option and the price reflected his worth now rather than in 6 months time. Also means he couldn't play against us

Imo we still need him now, even just as a bench option, more than the guaranteed money in the summer. Not sure why we want to help Spurs out when they could just pay now and apparently we’re skint as well

Levy will be playing hardball because the master negotiator himself got turned over by us with Doherty

Most transfers don't work that way. Very few are done all up front.

In my view, a loan with an obligation to buy is as good as a sale. I guess it just means the first installment is later than it would be, but there would still be a loan fee.

Twitter wants us to swap Adama for Ndombele.

What TT and Andy said. I don’t care when the money comes in, as long as we get it. Not worried about him improving them either as he won’t beyond an impact sub at best.

If we could get Ndombele to buy what Lage is selling I think it would be a coup.

What the odds of that actually happening would be, I've no idea. It would be a risk but with Chiqi in the squad we can afford to deal a winger for a CM, IMO.

But it's all probably just BS.
