Jeremy Corbyn

He is in the vulnerable group and should be shielded for 12 weeks. He sets a terrible example by being outside.

He isn't. The vunerable group is the 1.5m who have been told not to leave their homes under any circumstances. The rest of the over 70's have been advised to stay in but can still leave for exercise so that is a bollocks point really. My M-i-L is 78 and has no underlying health issues and she has clarified this, so what Corbyn did last night was no different to what she or the likes of Parkin (sorry Parky) can do.

What he says in interviews is completley irrelvent to this point really (like he is now I guess).

A National event in place, would I expect the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition to take part and also show their participation? Well yes, I would. Infact you could say Boris is more embarrasing as he is part of the party that has underfunded them and is now applauding their work, but that would be a cunts trick on this matter.

Whatever your thoughs on Jez and anyone else, to dive in at them because they did what was expected is a little fucking daft IMO. Can you image the headlines this morning if Jez had just tweeted "Did some clapping for the NHS"...the Mail would be jumping up and down screaming that he did NOTHING and his Tweet means nothing, he is a TRAITOR. I'm no fan of Jez but its all a bit fooking stupid is this.

Who cares what the Mail would do. My point still stands, his orchestrating gestures and God complex is mistimed, like his entire leadership tenure.

I mentioned his interview is it was yesterday as well. I'll be glad when he's confined to the political bin of history. Easily the worst political leader in my lifetime.

Well some people do care what the Mail do, so some.

Of course it was orchestrated....same as what Boris did outside Number 10 and anyone other MP or famous person who posted videos of themselves clapping last night. You don't like him, you don't like his type I get that. His interviews are shit, his outlook on life doesn't match yours, I get that and there a ton of things to shout at him about but this just isn't one. He did exactly what was expected of him - take part and show it.

Nobody is knocking him clapping. And it's not the orchestrated nature of the filming. It's HIS orchestrating gestures like he is conducting the clapping that people are miffed about.

Like it's all about him, like he's in charge. That's not a good look from a failure.

Maybe the people across the street from him work for the NHS, maybe he was thanking people for joining in (from a safe distance of course), maybe he was delighted to see his Neighbours for a few moments or maybe people are deciding based on their personal feelings for him what he was doing. The only way, in my opinion, that him doing what he did should be treated like this is if he stood in the middle of the street and took the applause as if it was all for him, said thank you thank, you are all to kind and took a bow. Now that would be worthy of the comments...unless he did jazz hands after the bow of course as that overrides everything and makes it brilliant. No exceptions.

You have different standards to me and to compare it to the most selfish man in politics I don't see Johnson doing this.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

He claps like Theresa May dances.

I'm sure his heart is in the right place but the want of the world these days is to be seen doing all these things, just wish more people would realise when they aren't really cut out for such PR moves and reign it in a bit rather than make themselves look like some fucked up malfunctioning robot.

Just be yourself, act fucking naturally, too much shit is forced these days and it makes everyone look a dick, both the perpetrator and those that get needlessly wound up in their reactions.

I agree Johnson would never do jazz hands...

I would say if Boris was in situation Jeremy was last night, he would have done the same but like I said earlier, him clapping the NHS is a bit rich for me but its what was expected of him, so I will only mention every now and again when he pisses me off. On Jeremy, he can carry on doing what he wants to do as by the time the MP's are back inside he will on the backrow again just making a poinless noise. He had his moment, he fucked it up....properly fucked it up.

Now that we can agree on.

I see this argument a fair bit. I think we are a lot more likely to see a period of austerity on hyper drive once we are through this

Absolutely amazing that people think Corbyn's ever been about himself over other people.

There's a reason that the people who know him - especially his constituents - love him. He's like the perfect model constituency MP, his record over decades in helping people (often in desperate circumstances) is incredible. It's arguably part of why he was so badly-suited for being leader of a political party - he can't help but treat the smallest and biggest issues as equally important.

(But yes, he claps like a weirdo.)

Now I quite like JC and always have but then again I wasn't displeased with Ed Miliband - BUT the political opportunism he is showing now is extremely misplaced and insensitive. Do I think there should be a fund for occurences like Covid 19? - Yes I do and it is engineered by the central banks and god forbid any of them profit from it .. but this is quite separate from the borrowing and spend he was proposing.

Now take out every mention of Corbyn and insert Glenn Hoddle instead

Hoddle was bedeviled by quoting Buddhist theory .. easy target I suppose. People need to get angry ..

As for football, sound mind but needed a Jorge Mendes.

That would be even more stupid than when they started it in 2010. Economy will need people spending when this is over. Then there's Brexit on top.
