Keir Starmer at it again..

The most 'noisy' people in any party tend to be the hardliners - look at the neo-nazis in the ERG. Labour picked one for their leader and it went quiet, that's changed now. The Tories are quiet as they are one of theirs in charge atm

They could strangle kittens on The One Show and still be able to count on 35% of the electorate. The vaccine program will only see them strengthen at least in the short term. The boomers are sown up and make up a huge portion of the electorate - and they always vote. Under 40s aren't really interested in the Tories but Labour can't assume they just need to show up to win their vote - they'll need something more inspirational than 'We're not the Tories'.

I think the best strategy they could pursue is an electoral pact with LDs & Greens in exchange for PR and get SNP on board with a vote on Independence. A proper PR though not the pointless shite Clegg accepted. Only problem is that Labour have been too pig-headed in the past to go for PR and some LDs might resist a pact as they still have a hard on for austerity.

Didn't Farage poll 25 in Hartlepool last time? Clearly gone to the Cons

Looks like another brick is coming out of the red wall. I'm beginning to think even without Scotish independence we'll only have a Conservative Government this decade. Popularism would appear to be popular when not properly held to account

I am still clinging to the slim hope that there will eventually be a scandal that can't be brushed under the carpet and will bring this government down. There are still a few years before the next election for them to finally be exposed for the charlatans that they are. I know it is only a slim chance but I can still be hopeful...

On that same thread there is support from the same electorate for traditional Labour left of centre policies. They want a huge rise for Nurses but vote Tory. This is why billionaires own the media. It works.

NIP polling more than the LibDems! :ROFLMAO:

Oh and why do REFUK still stand!? They've got what they wanted haven't they? And more to the point, why are 1% still voting for them!? Odd.

They're all about extorting money from their members ending covid lockdown now.

Gernerally Labour policies consistently poll better than Tory policies. Like you say, it's the power of the media. Johnson can pretty much do what he likes as long as the Sun and the Mail back him.

People at my work will complain about the lack of police stations, or how hard it is to get a doctors/hopsital appointment or how ridiculous their kids exams/curriculum are yet will keep voting Tory because they don't like Diane Abbott or some other irrelevant reason.

That's too simplistic. They were Labour voters who went to Farage and instead of going back to Labour have gone Tory. Labour have to get them back, racist or otherwise
They are not coming back, that whole generation are too busy blaming the brown / funny speaking people to ever consider Labour. Time to move on - good riddance IMO, but sadly probably does mean we are stuck with Boris and co for the next 10 years.

Westminster voting intention:

CON: 43% (+2)
LAB: 29% (-5)
GRN: 8% (+2)
LDEM: 8% (+2)
REFUK: 3% (-) via

Vaccine effect I presume.

That or we as nation love a bit of corruption. Each one of these polls is a thumbs up to the shit Johnson & Co have been pulling

I think if it was a vaccine effect we'd see more of an increase for the Tories? Labour losing 5% isn't likely to be much to do with the Vaccine? It's hard to know where people move to, but it looks as though people have largely left Labour and gone to Libs and Greens in this instance?

The Tories it seems can just do whatever they want and they will ever retain support or increase it, i find it genuinely incredible.

It's almost as if abusing everyone else. using every distasteful expletive laden slur imaginable to describe anyone who has the incredulity to think differently, regardless of how misguided they may be, doesn't garner you friends ??? It's a mystery, it really is.
Every setback or unfavorable outcome there is an excuse (I think there's at least two or three excuses on this page alone, and this thread is twenty pages long !)
But worst of all is from the outside you don't even seem to like yourselves, KS is the best chance of forming a government in years (high bar I know) but half of you hate him, I'm sure some of you would forgo ever being in government in order to maintain the parties integrity.
I know this post will get derided by the usual suspects but as they say, the first step is admitting you have a problem.

I'm a bit confused here Paul, is all this aimed at me?

Not really sure what this bit as about? Has this been going on recently? Over the last few weeks, months or years? In fact i think criticism of this government is at it's lowest by both the media and the opposition for many years, and yet their support is going up, not down. So if i am understanding your point properly, it doesn't stand up to much scrutiny.
