Landmark Klaxon!

Dunno if it counts as a landmark, looks old enough to be, the greyhound pub in bilston high street had a serious fire last night, I had a delivery to make in the high street at 12.45pm today and the white suited forensic people were there, 1 fire engine and police directing traffic

Fire brigade have said the greyhound pub was arson.
Owner already making moves to restore it.

SJ dixons building ( the old paint place) on Bilston road/Cleveland road might be getting turned into housing, application to knock down old warehouses and convert into 51 flats and 43 houses, has been submitted

Burning it down would be better
No it wouldn't!
Just needs a bit of an upgrade some tidying up and new carpets.
Oh, and about 5 new staff!
They never ever have enough staff to run it well.
But at 8am it's not that bad.

That is impressive necromancy. I stand by my position. It’s a dump

Lipstick on a pig.

Ordered to rebuild it, and actually doing it are two different things.

Even if it does get rebuilt, what will they do with it? Marston's had flogged it off as a pub for probably a good reason.

Yep it's in a completely unviable location for a working business. I suppose you'd probably get some novelty footfall for a while, but after that it'd be empty again.
