Least favourite Wolves XI

Yeah I only put him centre back to have Halford in (who didn’t really play RB much for us either anyway) tbf. He was just rubbish. And kept getting picked. Like Super Dave. And I just didn’t like watching him play, rather than hated him

He didn’t play that much. Less than half the games over that 3 year period. Played the most in the season we were best in.

The first did and then lost interest when he realised we wouldn't play to his strengths, the second I have no time for, but if you think they are comparable to Halford, Ferguson, Anderton, O'Hara etc then you either weren't there or weren't watching
We’ll I was there and as I’ll give you the first and last. Your middle two were stealing a living on a minor scale. Trincao basically takes the entire gate receipts for the south bank for doing nothing at all.

Hansbury- Jesus- Torquay ffs!
Zubar- Bolton back pass 90th minute
Johnson- Pisshead and destructive
Halford- A liability on a good day
Kevin Muscat- Animal and brainless with it.
Darren Ferguson- obnoxious twat
Jaimie O Hara- needs no explanation
Darren Anderton- Sicknote
Steven Fletcher- Hashtag headsgone tae fuck with ya
Steve Claridge- Belmer of the highest order
Trincoward-Makes the list as a loanee , and that takes some doing the spineless c**t.

In fairness I could probably have done two teams!

I didn't include Jamie O'Hara for the reason that he actually was very good when he first arrived! I can remember him running the game when we beat Blackpool 4-0 at Molineux - he was a genuinely excellent player for a little while. Shame it all went to shit, attitude et al.

Although I can't stand the guy and totally get why he'd feature in most people's XI for the reason that he's a twat, I couldn't include him ahead of the swathes of utter dreck who have polluted our central midfield areas since I've been a supporter, who rarely (if ever) did anything of note on the pitch in a Wolves shirt.

It IS least favourite though, not worst.

Can't quite believe I've seen Osborn's name in this thread, very disappointed in a couple of you!

Yes I know - I guess I did actually like the guy at one point though. The only time I liked Steve sodding Corica was when I bet my mate a pint that within 5 minutes he (Corica, not my mate) would do his amazing 'ball pirouette' (which involved spinning around on the spot when receiving a pass, only to lose it immediately) and it happened about 10 seconds later. Easy money.

When the going got tough he got going. Couldn't stand him, sometimes spent games on end hiding or playing safe balls. The only thing which saves him is he played at the same time as Ferguson and Corica

Scoring a winner away at St Andrews was my favourite Corica moment. Unfortunately I was sat on my hands in the home end and couldn't celebrate it so calling him every name under the sun with a few expletives thrown in for good measure was like a normal game watching him.

He was shit. Flat track bully at best. Our central midfield held us back for about 15 years.

His challenge and pass for Bully's goal against Blues in *that* Kevin Francis penalty game should lift him out of any dislike/hatred in my view.

One of my favourite ever moments that.

Our CM was a problem for well over a decade as you say, but Osborn was far from the worst culprit/reason.

Atkins, Sedgley, Ferguson, Corica all had less ability and desire than Osborn did.

Dare I mention Mark Burke? I'm a bit scared DW will hunt me down.
Didn't hate him but seemed to waste a great talent imo.
Quality footballer, but lazy as fuck and no bottle at all.

2 of them are in my team tbf. Osborn had more ability than Sedgley and Atkins I'd argue. Cost more too.

Depends, in losing Venus as part of the Sedgley deal we had our pants pulled down massively.

Are you saying that you think Sedgley and Atkins had more ability than Osborn?

Atkins was awful in midfield, but quite good at sweeper, Sedgley was really poor in midfield except for that weird flurry of goal scoring he had where he was scored 5 or 6 goals from about 1 yard out.

His lack of alertness (literally not facing the play) to Segers crap kick against Arsenal in the semi final still winds me up.

That's why I hated Osborn. He was better than Atkins and Sedgley but barely more effective. Lazy player.
