Leeds 2-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

It’s just utter idiotic management of the club and they’ll only realise how much they’ve fucked up when it’s to late.
As many have recently implied the arrogance of some of the arseholes running the club is of the scale.
Very much a case of “I’m in this position at this club so I know best”
Even if we do survive expect any player of any quality wanting to jump ship asap at the end of next season. I think the board think we’re to good for relegation so that’s one thing not to worry about and they can hold onto the PL cash cow. Utterly naïve and infuriating as a fan.

We’ve not had a really long period of being average to poor since Fosun took us over, league 1 champions, championship champions, getting into Europe in our first premier league season, perhaps Jeff and Fosun really think they’ve got the magic touch, as other commenters have said on various threads, Fosun have never had to deal with a seriously toxic Molineux and fan base, they’ll be getting a shock shortly

They almost ballsed up the first year badly but I think fans gave them some leeway as they were nee to the game. Then things took off they hit gold with Nuno their only decent appointment as manager and since then they’ve had success and the one poor season since was behind closed doors.
Gloves are off now and the fan base has been told bull shit boardroom talk before and not fallen for it.
Any fan of any remote football knowledge knows that what they’re doing is just toying with disaster but who are we to question?

It's absolutely this. They thought 'football, piece of piss, this' and took their eye off it, missed warning signs because they're clueless, and spent 4 years dining out on one transfer window. But they're so fucking clueless they won't realise what went wrong until it's too late. Unless we spend some decent money in the next 18 months we'll be genuine relegation candidates this/next season. From the position we were in three years ago, that's absolutely fucking tragic.

Also back to the game briefly, there's 'dark arts', and there's being diving, whinging pricks, and we're definitely the latter. It was embarrassing at times today and will 100% bite us on the arse.

Also talk that Bruno refused to shake hands with Marsch, and that shit can fuck off too. Have some fucking dignity.

It begins and ends with Jeff Shi an autocrat who thinks he's a football guru but knows less than most people on here. He's surrounded himself with sycophants, whose jobs are reliant on him and won't say anything to disrupt the status quo. We have an Academy Manager in charge of our recruitment without any of the required skills to do so and a budget which is negligible. It hurts us way more than them, but we deserve to go, as I've said before it feels much like the McCarthy relegation year in terms of a complacency that 3 teams will be worse. We might dodge the bullet this year, we won't in the next 3 as long as Shi is here

He gave him the finger instead

This what’s so upsetting and getting everyone so angry under MM and Morgan and Moxey we knew we were always a relegation possibility and even then fans got very angry.
I think they’re so arrogant that they believe relegation is something for other people to worry about not us therefore a few frugal years won’t be that bad.
Do they also not realise how much relegation will dwindle the fan base. Basically your waiting list is facade once we’re not in the PL and expect the hard core of 20k to remain, and remain vocal and angry.

Thing is the way we were set up as a club under Morgan, I thought about 14th was about the best we could ever do. Which is fine within reason.

We know we can do better than this, we choose not to which is unacceptable.

I'm not hitting the panic button yet. It's the first game of the season and the first prem game with the new formation. The formation will take some adjusting to and until it's a proven flop then there's still the chance our threadbare squad will stay fit enough to improve and be competitive.

Not feeling terribly optimistic like, but where there's hope...

The “ I know/we know best” attitude in football especially does nothing but get peoples backs up.
MM did it a lot and in a very stubborn demeaning way. It doesn’t start or end well, I think the good times have come and gone before we even had time to enjoy it.

Thing is, if we carry over the form from last season we're in one hell of a slump. The only addition is Collins and we are literally shitting ourselves about picking up an injury - I was even worried when fucking Hwang went down today as we're at bare minimum.

There's no need for us to be in this situation but feels like Jeff and co are sleepwalking into an unnecessary situation

There are reports that people have seen Wolves fans abusing MGW's family after the game. If true he is 100 percent going to go. Absolute cunts
This happened right in front of us, his brother was being just as much of a dick as the guy he was squaring up to. 'Do you know who I am?' etc etc.

Marsch, Aaronson, and Adams being Americans has made losing to Leeds absolute hell over here.

Thought we were absolutely excellent for about 25 minutes of that game. The rest was a bit of a mess.

Too many poor performances across the team to take points from a Premier League game. Aït-Nouri & Jonny were particularly shite, Neves, Donk, MGW, Podence, Sá & Hwang fell into the 'sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit' bracket, Collins & Kilman were solid enough but Neto was the only player who had a properly good game.

I must have inverted vision with RAN because normally I don’t quite understand the hype with him but I thought today was his best performance in a while.
