We don't seem to have a thread for this game, and I've never done one, so here goes.

3 games without a win now so a victory against an average Leeds side would be very welcome, to calm the nerves amongst ourselves mainly.

Players should be fresh after a week and a half break, think we will nick this by the odd goal - 1-0 or 2-1

--------------Ruddy----------------

----Bennett---Coady-----Boly-----

Doherty--N'Diaye--MGW--Douglas

-----Costa-----Cav------Jota------

Would go with the above personally, but wouldn't be surprised if MGW is on the bench again and Saiss plays

That team, except I think I'd play Saiss tonight. A good performance is needed to calm some fans' nerves.

We could do with a strong performance from Jota tonight - that forward line really should cause Leeds some problems.

Beradi the Leeds full back is weak and we ought to really target him and have the fluid free switching all the time to leave him not knowing if he's coming or going.

The goalkeeper is a mess and I've seen a couple advocating Lonergan should start if fit that's quite the condemnation. I wouldn't tell our boys to be gung ho but if they get space take a few pot shots and see if we can profit from GK error.

Saiz is a good player but a loose cannon really ought to have been sent off at the end of the Boro game IMO. If Saiss and Alf are at their best I can see him growing frustrated.

Expecting another game of cynical off the ball incidents, scything dirty tackles and claims of play acting and diving by our targeted players all under the nose of an ineffective referee - back to usual then!

That would be my worry too, we need a tough ref who won't be intimidated by the usual hostile atmosphere at Elland Road. An early goal to silence their support and/or one or two early bookings wouldn't go amiss.

Ref Tim Robinson has shown 9 yellows in his 4 games that involve Wolves and Leeds this season. He isnt a red happy- 50 matches 82 cards and 7 reds. Referee for 2 Leeds games to Millwall and Birmingham where they lost 1-0.

I am going for a scrappy 1-0 or 2-1 to us. I would have the same team as Trips but with Saiss in for MGW.

This for me:

-------------Ruddy----------------

----Bennett---Coady-----Boly-----

Doherty--Saiss--MGW--Vini

-----Costa-----Cav------Jota------

To be fair Leeds arent such a dirty team (unless they are spitting).A Season ticket holder tells me they were bullied by Preston, Millwall,Cardiff and Bristol City this season...When they get going they can play some decent football expecially with Saiz,Hernandez and Alioski.
I did think Saiz would miss this one at the end of the Boro match, the referee actually stopped him from getting another yellow!

For me.

Id bring Cav on 2nd half to make an impact like before.

Win tonight is absoutely essential for me. As for the team, then it has to be Saiss and Alf in midfield. MGW isn't up to the physical challenge just yet. And after their insipid performances agaisnt Fulham I can't have Leo or Costa starting, so Cav - Afobe - Jota for me.

Costa has looked far more dangerous than Afobe over the past few weeks.

Elland Rd is anything but hostile this season. Get an early goal and they'll turn - they're already unimpressed with Heckingbottom.

Weidwald in goal is an absolute embarrassment. Their other options are a kid who went out on loan to York but was sent back because they didn't rate him and Andy Lonergan. Nuff said. Was speaking to a Leeds STH yesterday at work and Weidwald is particularly susceptible to balls into the box, something we don't do that often. That said, we should be shooting at every opportunity.

The side picks itself apart from one of the forward spots and one of the midfield spots. I'd go with the below as I think the fluid front three works best away from home.

Ruddy
Bennett
Coady
Boly
Doherty
Saiss
Douglas
Costa
Jota
Cav

My pal said exactly the same, EXCEPT for the tv matches when they (seemingly) like to put a show on....expect half and hour of the scarf swinging "champions of europe" chant,it actually worked against Bristol City but then again, they leak goals like piss from a cystitis ridden tramp.

Just hope that Saiss doesn't get a yellow tonight as he'd miss the Villa game.

Which Neves is back for. The main concern for me was the two of them both missing at the same time.

Saiss N'Diaye in the middle Leo, Cav and Jota up front. Back to winning ways 3-0 Wolves panickers calmed

Personally, I’d go with 11 players.

Leeds aren't an amazing team, I don't think they have a particuarly good manager either so I'll back us to win this one.
Back to a fluid front three for me, MGW in the middle with Saiss and I'd be tempted to play Vinagre and Norris (neither of those will happen though).
I expect Alf and Saiss in the middle though.

Suspect that it will be an unchanged team (apart from Jota in for either Costa or Leo) - they just need to play to their ability rather than putting in a Fulham performance (though Leeds are no way as good as Fulham & won't be as able to take advantage of an off day)
