Left back woes

Anyone know why we don't just recall vinagre instead of persisting with playing a stackload of players out of position in an attempt to fill the gap till we get a fit left back again? I always thought he looked half decent and given a run of games would only improve? Surely better than playing centre backs with no pace and expecting them to support neto on the wing.

Also, why don't our centre mids ever seem to want to go forward. Having wingers crossing it in to one striker against 2,3,4 defenders isn't going to be profitable. We need mids to get amongst it, not just spray balls around from our 18 yard line.

Finally, why does traore (and beyond to spend degree) always run down the line looking to cross it? Mix it up, run into the box and attack the goal. The amount of times he gets fouled when he runs at them maybe we could get some penalties instead of just giving them away when the opposition do exactly that against us!

Hope with our best attackers on pitch today we can show attacking attempt against arsenal.... not looking good so far tho.

You can only recall during a window if it's after the one he went to and you've inserted that clause. You can't in the same one or in-between. RAN and Saiss were both fit when he went to his new club

We just need RAN/Saiss back short term as Kilman is certainly not a left back!

No shit Sherlock! We have 4 players that can play that role. Everyone of them is injured. You couldn't even make it up to get all 4 injured at the same bloody time!

I think Kilman would be okay against different opposition, for example Burnley or your more robust sides, today though he was sent out to fail against Saka with his speed and movement.

1st half today though Semedo was more attacking than Traore, I am not sure you'd want to mirror that on the left-hand side of the pitch whilst playing two ball control CMs rather than an out and out screener/workshorse type. as would love us very exposed.

For me I'd go Semedo left and Hoever right personally.

Nuno clearly wants to play a four but is scared of the lack of height. If Saiss had been fit, I’m sure he would have played tonight. He does overthink the negatives sometimes.

saiss isn't a left back either

WE HAVE ANOTHER FULLBACK ON THE BENCH FFS

Who are you referring to? Hoever who's had two starts and isn't left sided, or Richards who has had none.

You don't want to potentially break very young players by ruining their confidence (especially in the middle of a terrible run) if you can help it.

See Little, Mark.

semedo didn't look great on the left, but he's a sure sight better than playing kilman there. maybe even worth throwing in hoever there and swapping them if it looks to be a trainwreck, to attempt to keep semedo's effectiveness up.

drunk t3ch just didn't understand the logic pretzels of pushing a player into a position he doesn't remotely fit when there's a much better alternative sitting there.

We are just holding on till Jonny is back and fit to play - just don't ask Max to do it again.

He's not a LB & it's not fair on him.

Short term the best option (as Marcal appears to have disappeared for now) is Semedo on the left & Hoever right. Not as good as we would want, but the best we have for the moment.
