Very much a side that is a work in progress against one that is anything but, and yet we still managed to get the better of them for 45 minutes.

Early days, but promising signs tactically. Some truly shocking decision making and bad finishing kept us out.

was hoping to see a bigger tactical change from last year but I suppose that's a bit too much to ask for on the first day. felt no different from a nuno game for half the match, and continuing to see bad dead balls, late subs, etc. was disappointing.

not the team I expected, I imagine it'll look a lot better once the regulars get in. happy to give bruno the time needed, 2nd half was promising.

Probably should have got a draw.

Much like last season, we can't afford to keep being so passive in the early stages of the game. Be interesting to see if Bruno can get the players going in the first half in front of a full crowd.

With a stronger back three, we'll be able to get the wing backs higher. Badly need Boly, Mosquera back with a new centre back. That and a new midfielder can give some life to this team I think, for sure.

We weren't a complete farce which i was worried we might be against this Leicester team (who were poor themselves I thought).

Edit: Thought Kilman had a good game actually, definitely the best of the back 3

45 minutes FC again bloody annoying created more than enough to get something out the game but ultimately a lack of quality in finishing was fatal.
Don’t ignore the first half as that’s where it was lost and far to passive.
The squad is severely lacking in depth currently it was crying out for some new legs on about 65 minutes.
We deserved something from the game but we didn’t get anything, really hope we aren’t continually trotting out that line a lot this season.

It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. We should have got a draw minimum. For a new set up i thought it looked promising. Same story as always which is struggle to score. I think we'll be ok this season. Give them a few more games together, and get Neto, Podence, Boly etc back and we might surprise ourselves.
Good show from the Wolves fans. Outsung the home fans and didn't stop for 90 mins.

I agree first half. It was tepid, passive crap.

Second half was far better, everybody higher up the pitch, better tempo, Moutinho and Neves dictating play, centre backs stepping forward, wing backs getting wide and putting good crosses in.

Thought Trincao and Hoever linked well and Trincao and Raul likewise.

Adama's decision making was abysmal, embarrassingly so for a PL forward.

Thought our higher press and faster tempo second half showed what we can really do as a team.

We need that cutting edge again as we had enough chances to score and should've.

Signs are good and we made a good Leicester side look poor in the second half.

Kilman my MotM for his excellent defending against Vardy and his striding forward with the ball in the second half.

Only saw second half, I was quite encouraged, obviously deserved a draw but woeful finishing, thought Kilman did ok.. if only he could have slotted that one after weaving past 10 defenders.

Deserved a draw, only because Leicester were poor. Defence needs shoring up or else we are in for some tankings this season. I wince every time Raul goes up for a header. Set pieces? Bloody hell, we`re buggered when the Old un goes off. As others have stated we need, at least, a couple of signings and I`m not sure about Sa yet.

Should have put that game away in the second half and I hope Traore can't sleep tonight.

I don't quite get the pre game negativity, that starting 11 was hardly championship level and while the first half was a bit flat second half we dominated for long stretches and Leciester will feel they have got away with one today.

Trincao has ability but wasn't involved first half - none of the front three linked up with each other or with anyone else. Lage clearly got on top of that at half time because the second half was full of players linking up - same players, different team.

Nothing wrong with Jiminez but he needs a few more games I think, he wasn't as involved as usual.

Kilman was superb. Tried to get us up the pitch in the second half by carrying the ball out.

Don't think Marcal offers enough as wingback, he is a bit if a meh footballer. Competent but no more.

No problems with Sa. Decent save in the first half but wasn't really extended.

I hate leaving this stadium thinking what if? Happens too often.

Sa had a number of nervous encounters in the first half which didn't fill me with confidence, but willing to give him a run of games same as the manager before shouting from any rooftops.

A lot better than I thought we'd be and I didn't think if be saying that after the first half. I didn't actually think we were any worse than last season first half it just looked more of the same.

Second half we completely dominated and I am not too sure how we didn't score. However if we can play like that even semi consistently we will be absolutely fine.

Another thing IF Marcal can stay fit...he will still miss a high number of games due to suspension.
We already knew he was a master of the dark arts in the few times we saw him before

Great to see Bruno absolutely bollocking the team second half (after Traore failed to square foot Raul?)

He's stepped it up a notch (although he should nailed their guy before he crossed for the goal)
