So, just 10 days to go until the big kick off, hopefully this will change a little (new signings, accelerated returns from injuries), but what is your predicted starting line up for Leicester?

I'm thinking it'll likely be a 343, something like this.

Sa

Kilman
Coady
Saiss

Marcal
Neves
Dendoncker
Semedo

MGW
Raul
Adama

Trincao for MGW and/or Moutinho for Donk are also very possible, as well as a 352 with Raul and Fabio as the forwards. I also wouldn't be too upset with Marcal as LCB and RAN as WB.

I do expect 3 at the back though.

I expect a 343, which I have no issue with, and should allow us to be a bit more aggressive, defend a bit higher up the pitch without being all over the place at the back (in theory).

I really hope we have a new centre back to play by then instead of that back three which scares me

Probably a good time to play Leicester. Players back late, signings not fully up to speed, few key players still injured.

Reckon we can get a draw due to the above reasons.

We havent scored since we got back up in the Prem. Leicester is our Bogey ground, last 3 games we have played there L 2-0, D 0-0 L 1-0.

Unfortunate to a degree in all those games. Had so many chances in the first one, played them off the park until Doc inexplicably thundered a header into his own net under no pressure at all. Nonsense disallowed goal in the second one and a woeful penalty shout in their favour in the third (albeit we didn't really create anything of our own, 0-0 was as good as we were going to do).

Boly should be back by Leicester.

Kenny said he was training last week.

Sa

Boly - Coady - Marcal

Semedo - Moutinho - Neves - RAN

Trincao - Raul - Traore

I thought E+S Liam said Boly was out for the start of the season.

Yeah looks like he is back for Spurs or Man Utd game

Make it Saiss for him then.

Anything other than Neves and Moutinho in a 2 would do for me.

bad injury for Fofana just now, from a pretty poor tackle

Just seen it. Think it’s unlucky rather than being a particularly bad tackle. Lands on his ankle and now obviously that’s hanging off but it’s just a bit of bad luck. Like when Robinson broke SEBs was the landing on the ankle that did it.

Bit too much of a lunge for me and then also brings his other leg round. Needless in a pre-season friendly for sure.

I always thought the Robinson tackle on SEB was quite a poor one? But haven't seen it since it happened, most likely

The right leg does come round but it makes zero contact with anything.

Fofana putting his leg accross is probably what puts it in the awkward position and allows an opportunity to break as the contact is then perpendicular. If he’s just running it probably doesn’t happen. As I said, bad luck for me. Unless we are outlawing slide tackles then things like this can happen.

The Robinson tackle. Can remember it but doubt I will do it justice in description. Was a bouncing ball in the channel and Robinson comes accross and put it in the stands. They collided but it was robinson landing on SEBs ankle as they both came down rather than the tackle.

Robinson pulled out some shocking stuff on a regular basis, against us he had two on Kightly in successive seasons that he somehow got away with, he was a genuinely horrible footballer and a complete thug, but I don't think he was at fault on the SEB one.

From what i remember of it, I was convinced that Robinson not only wanted to clear the ball but to 'do' SEB at the same time.

Just seen the Fofana one, not too much wrong with the initial bit but the second swipe with the trailing leg is what does the damage and looks deliberate to me, a poor show.

Confirmed broken leg for Fofana. That’s terrible for him. Hope he makes a swift recovery.

Nah. This is the point his ankle is gone. It his body weight pretty much going on his planted leg at 90 degrees which see it buckle. The right leg does come round but the damage is already done.

He went in hard no question. No different to something Richard Stearman did countless times. Ball was waist high from memory. But was then the landing after the collision that did him
