I'm getting really frustrated by our surrendering of first halves, not taking games to opposition and inviting pressure

We eventually turn it on but its normally too late

Nuno baffles me sometimes

I'm guessing its not the plan, just opposition playing to their strengths and our weaknesses, we can't handle the press but teams have burnt themselves out by the second half, I'm assuming this is the thing Nuno is working on, currently we haven't found the answer

I don’t feel like I can say anything on Silva just yet for fear of being accused of “writing him off”, but you’d certainly expect or want a bit more from him when he comes on to the pitch. He’s looked like a competition winner so far, not a £35m footballer.

I guess he might look a bit better once he’s started a few games and had more time to grow and develop with the squad, but unfortunately as we didn’t sign another forward, he’s being thrown in at the deep end and having to learn on the job.

The reality is, bar possibly Rui, every single player in our side today were below par. We could still be playing this time next week and wouldn’t have scored. Our lack of goals is concerning.

Rui was solid enough but his kicking was atrocious. Never releases the ball early enough either but maybe nobody to release forwards as they are all planning their next back pass.
