I'll start by saying it's great to be back, in full stadiums, watching football again.
Wolves away fans in fine voice, unsurprisingly.

Game of two halves really.
Leicester the dominant side in the 1st, Wolves the dominant side in the 2nd.

Both sides seemed to lack in the final third though, whether it be the final pass, finish or poor control of the ball.
Probably to be expected, given it's the first game of a season, with a pre-season which still hasn't seen a return to the norm, especially with the short break since the Euros.

I thought Trincao looked tidy, if a little lightweight at times....He's someone we have been tracking for a few seasons, but he was destined for Wolves with your guys links with Portuguese players.

I don't think we deserved a clean sheet, although relieved we got one, with having 4/5 first teamers out in defence (Evans/Fofana/Castagne/Justin/Bertrand).
Although we usually come flying out of the traps at the start of a season, I get the impression we will actually improve as the season goes on, with 4 of the above 5 hopefully returning pretty soon, plus Soumare and Daka adapting to the league over the season.

On the balance of play, I don't think we deserved the 3 points, but a top finish from a top striker, was fortunately enough of a small margin to separate the sides.
We looked pretty lost at times in the 2nd half, but that's unsurprising, with the amount of first team players missing.

Lets hope our two clubs, as well as a few others, can continue to ruffle the feathers of the so called 'Super League' clubs again.

I didn't realise Leicester were so light at the back. That's a first choice back 4

they have a different way of squad depth than us...guess the slow vestergaard did ok too

Well it's the position we have most depth in really, we're lucky.
Amartey would be 5th choice behind Evans/Fofana/Soyuncu/Vestegaard, but we're quite lucky that there's not a huge drop off between the first 3, although we've yet to see what Vestegaard can give us as a 4th choice.

Same with the full backs, Castagne/Ricardo is a bit of a toss up over first choice right back, but Justin/Bertrand would have started ahead of Thomas, if available, even though for me, he was solid again.

Our threat from the wings is the only area of concern for us really, I knew Neto was obviously out for you guys, and I think it's one area we do lack depth compared to you guys.
Hopefully we address that, and can add a right winger before the end of the window.

Like I said, if it wasn't for the great links you guys have in portugal/with portugal players, I think Trincao would have been either starting for us today, or at least in the squad. We were in for him when he went to Barca. I think he will do well, although in a selfish way, I hope your club doesn't rate him, and we try and sign him next summer.

Thanks for some really interesting and considered points. Hope you carry on hanging around here as fans of other teams are welcome. You could be the Leicester response to our Bear posting on Foxestalk.
