Let's talk about Nuno....

some of the contortions on here, just to hold together h idea that everything's part of Nuno and Fosun's infallible plan
Despite no one actually saying that or believing it. Comments like this add nothing to the conversation, neither do the ones constantly biting about who's writing it. Makes for a poorer forum tbh.

Edit as i hadn't seen you had added to it. I think all you've said is fair enough. As i said earlier i don't think we're that far off somewhere where we would all be content but it's all small margins. Not sure recruitment was ordinary but it was definitely looking towards the future more than this season although it is possible we should have recruited players for the here and now more than just Semedo and Marcal. If we don't look at in the summer then i would be very critical because it's obvious we do need some extra/better players to improve as the younger players will still be very inexperienced.

I don't know why you're working me in a another's quote?😁

Tbf, Man United have just spent BIG money on the Atalanta winger who has played even less senior football than Fabio had. Their other right wing options are Mason Greenwood and Dan James.

now I’ve never seen him play, so no idea if physically he is to to it straight away. But they are obviously buying him with the future in mind rather than to make an impact, in a position they have been crying out for a new signing for ages (hence the Sancho saga). And yes I get it’s Man United but this example came straight to mind
crewe alexandra did it for years.
indeed most clubs in league 1, 2 and high end non league operate this way.
we're just doing it on a slightly different scale aren't we?

Yep, he's finding it tough. Even tougher when fans are on your back constantly, even if he doesn't probably read a 100th of it.
I can tell you right now, Nuno doesn't read TWF or Wolves twitter so it definitely isn't making it 'even tougher'

That's exactly my point, why are we acting like an elite club when we're not. Walk before you run

I'll give you a round of applause for guessing that then... For sure he will know fans are on his back though, as this forum and twitter aren't the only places it's happening. But i'm sure you know that, as you seem to be some sort of oracle.

Everything isn't always Wolves fans fault

If fans were in the ground I don’t think there would be any animosity or dissent towards Nuno right now
Again, they are supporters. SM "supporters" aren't by any stretch of the imagination.

This made me laugh anyway but my sense of humour is warped...

WOLVES ROCKED BY FURTHER INJURIES AHEAD OF BLACK COUNTRY DERBY AFTER EVERTON DEFEAT
Wolves have been rocked by the news of a spate of new injuries heading into the Black Country derby with close neighbours West Bromwich Albion.
Wolves went into the Everton game already missing a whole raft of fans who had failed a Gut Check on the morning of the game and lost Keyboard Warrior in the warm up when the team was announced with Cutrone on the bench.
So the news from the medical team is bound to be a massive set-back ahead of the big game. Wolves Medical Director Dr Angie O’Gram told us;
“It’s a massive set back ahead of the big game” she said. “Club veteran Fairweather Fan has had a sudden re-occurrence of Weak Heart” she told us “but the news that recent signing Glorio Hunter has serious Cold Feet was an expected development”
“We had known that New Fan has been carrying a niggle all season but it’s now been diagnosed as a Brain problem caused by lack of knowledge”
“With Plastic Fan completely lacking a spine we expect Old Cynic to slot back in, but then he always knew this was going to happen.
“With so many Happy Clappers having to come in from the U93’s squad, the web-board could seems surprisingly up-beat” she continued.
With only 2 days to go before the big game, time is running out. However, Dr O’Gram was upbeat.
“It could be worse” she told us “Could you imagine what it would be like if this bunch actually paid to go to games? God help us then.....”

And if Nuno did go, they'd be giving it the full on "we're doomed"
My thoughts are,
Nuno is missing his family,
Mentally the squad is knackered after playing for nearly 18 months solid,
Injuries aren't helping,
Silva scores a hat trick the week end some people are going to look a bit of a twat,
Just put prawn King on block, I have and haven't regretted it for a minute.

Smug factor 10 on here.

Confused at the back-slapping siege mentality against 'Nuno Out' types when there isn't a single one of them on here. Who mentioned straw men earlier? I said I supported Nuno first post on this thread. I support Fosun too, and Fabio. Doesn't mean I have to be a glassy eyed cult member!

Man... If your response to people with a different opinion is to say they aren't supporters, call them wum's, make weird 'pube' jokes and recommend blocking them then you guys have obviously been as affected by lockdown as Nuno! Go in the garden and get some fresh air

You can have a different opinion, as can other people. It's what forums are about.
I haven't been here that long, but i've been on various forums since 2004. Everyone of them has/did have folk like you on them PK. That is the one who's opinion is usually polar opposite to the majority, and even if they are wrong they'll argue to the death that they are right.

Personally my concern would be the lack of creativity. Even when we had everyone (minus jonny) at the start of the season, we didn’t look great. Yes we can say can we had a ridiculously long season last year etc , but if we don’t create chances, then what can we expect.

my concern would be is how raul recovers. Let’s up he comes back the same player.

blooding the youngsters this season due to injuries May reap rewards on a couple of years, I just hope the likes of neves stick around for the ride .
I agree on the creativity and I think that’s down to a few things.

1) We went from 2 inverted or inside running wing backs who would join attacks and create extra attacking threats to 2 outside or down the channel full backs playing wing back. They go outside and out crosses in

2) Not replacing Diogo with an inside forward. Neto, Podence and Adama all play wide and come in from out, or in Adama’s case go out and then further out. With 4 wide players out (2 wide men and 2 wing backs) we have nobody to support Raul. Add to that we played two defensive midfielders who struggle to get forward into goal scoring positions and gone is the fluidity of attack.

This is why I think we struggled early in the season to score and I do think the move to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 is deliberate but is early.

It also makes sense that we were after the Pepe from Brasil and Hee-Chan from RB Salzburg. Both can play wide but also up front.

I do think Nuno began his evolution but the injuries have hastened it and made it all the more difficult. Understandably he’s struggling.
