Nuno deserves far more respect that some of you are giving him.

He got us up on 99 points, we finished 7th and 7th, even this season will be our higher finish than any other manager got us.

His latest interview regarding the number of injuries and changing his thinking to have a bigger squad.

Nuno has my full backing even if we lose on Monday by a bigger margin than McCathys last game.

In Nuno I trust to take us higher and higher.
I have to agree, whilst football has no time for sentiment, with the exception of the last 12 months, under Nuno for me he has given us the best ride we have had for years
Some of us remember the dark days of the 80s that has taken us a generation to get over, and one thing we have seen in the last 4 years has been some stability under Nunos leadership. So perhaps we need to have slightly longer memories and not get too gung-ho selecting/ suggesting his replacement before he’s gone
Okay this season has been an abortion, so in the circumstances, irrespective of tomorrow, Nuno and Fosun still have some credit in the bank.
I’m taking this season as a complete one off, so swapping and changing Managers at this time would be a backward step IMHO. Hopefully, time for R&R and a proper close season (Euros apart) and the Nuno and the squad will come back stronger
We MUST have a statement transfer window though, and we all know the positions that need to be filled. Going into next season with an effective 1st team squad of about 12 and patience will start to run thin if results and performances don’t improve. That’s in Nunos hands, and the buck stops there. I can't understand this post (nor Glasgow's) as the discussion is about what happens if Nuno leaves not sacking him.

The rumour was about him going back to Portugal.

Hi Jonny, I think the first post back in January was asking Where do people stand on Nuno, and has he taken us as far as he can?
Discussion has since debated this, and I’ve just given my opinion based GlasgowWolfs post, where I agree Nuno deserves time
My only caveat was that we need to improve on this season otherwise it could be difficult to get the same sentiment if things don’t change

Hi Charlie, it is difficult to give a manager time when he walks away.

Not really disrespectful (Glasgow's point) to discuss Nuno's replacement if the man himself quits.

I take your point, and obviously can’t comment on Glasgows behalf, but I think that the part of the thread Glasgow was commenting upon was made following posts referring to Tom Harks post quoting, amongst other things, why is Nuno bereft of ideas (I may be wrong, so apologies in advance) and the ‘deserve more respect’ comment came in response to this.
As far quitting, this has merely come from an unsubstantiated rumour and the only facts we have are that the man himself has committed to the club and previously quashed any rumours of him walking away.
Again, apologies if I’ve misread or crossed postings, but this is how I interpreted the message

Whilst some of the later pages have mentioned Nuno leaving, the earlier ones had some saying he has got things wrong we should be looking to change him.

Even recently comments if we change him lets get Potter in.

That suggests it is our choice he goes.

My comment was aimed at those who are questioning Nunos ability, and his performance this season.

Yes one day he will leave us, hopefully it will be in 15 years time with a couple of league wins, and a few cup wins, and will leave us with a legacy similar to Cullis.

That would be lovely, not sure how realistic it is in the 2021 PL landscape though (probably wouldn't have been that realistic 20 years ago either).

I actually don't think that Fosun or the majority of fans want Nuno gone, but after a relatively disappointing season there's always the worry (just like with a player) that it's the start of a downward trajectory, and you're bound to get commentary on that

The new manager we got in for the WBA is like a breath of fresh air. Hampered by injuries but played the kids anyway and what a refreshing change it was. Still some work to do defensively but we looked much better with the ball and pressed better too.

Looking forward to seeing whats next!
