Let's talk about Nuno....

Hopefully its complete bullshit though Nuno does seem to have lost some of his mojo with his family being in another country and fan interaction being non-existent at present which is all understandable, obviously I hope he rides the storm but if he were to decide its not for him anymore I would see him looking for a club in Spain or Portugal so that he can see his family again

They signed Cutrone in a previous window and that didn't work out well so rather than try that again they went for a different approach.

Clearly the club knew Raul needed a back up (or they wouldn't have signed Cutrone) but this time they went for a different approach, one can assume because it's difficult to get a ready made back-up striker with all the qualities we desire.
It may be difficult to sign someone who is one rung down from Raul, but we went for someone who's currently five or six rungs down. And spent a lot of money doing so.

So either we drastically misjudged how ready Fabio was to have any kind of first team impact, or we drastically underestimated the impact covid / last season / no pre season / fatherhood (let alone a possible injury) would have on Raul's ability to play 99% of our game time.

It's important to acknowledge that we make these errors, because transfer criticism is so often shot down on here, and we'll be told again in the summer to have total faith that we'll sign that AM or CH we need.

That’s me up to 4 different people that have text me links to the article saying Nuno is off (all non-Wolves fans). I wonder what it will be by close of play...
But worrying, as we all dismissed the Jota transfer link when it came out...

Didn't Jota's kind of come out of no where? I can't recall it being in the press, the first I heard of it was when he arrived at Molineux for a game and then apparently left.

To be fair, I think we were expecting him to offer more than he has done. I still think that’s the case, otherwise we would have started with Cutrone against Everton.

Yes he left the Stoke game before kick off because he had broken Covid rules on his baby gender reveal or was going to Liverpool. I believed the former 😕

Are we OK to discuss this or do we need to submit a list of prospective new managers first?

Yes, it was a gamble. As you have correctly identified Silva isn't quite ready for the role we're asking him to perform. I think the club knew we needed a backup but didn't want a repeat of Cutrone so went a different path.

It's important to remain objective with expectations, no club gets it right 100% of the time in the transfer market.

Jokes aside I think it would be interesting for discussion, I've got no idea where we'd go after Nuno
