Atletico Madrid and Liverpool game was a bit tasty, I fancied ATM until the ref sent off Griezmann. Still, he nearly kept them in it but oddly overuled his own penalty (albeit a bit on the soft side)

On replay, once you see the ATM player throw himself theatrically well after any slight contact with Jota, I’m glad he had the balls to overrule initial decision.

Has there ever been a spawnier manager than OGS? 2 0 down now 3 2 up v Atalanta ffs

The board are stupid enough to believe he’ll turn it around infact it’s just another cycle

Edouard, Olise, Anderson and Guehi are all excellent signings that we should have been looking at but I don’t think we ever will try and get players like that under the current regime for whatever reason.
Edouard fails the dickhead test miserably, so they can keep him.

Jeez just saw Spurs lost in the Europa Vase. Probably still qualify but can’t afford another slip up.

West Ham making the EL look easy.

11 changes to the Spurs XI and kids on the bench. It's almost like Nuno doesn't do cups...

I could understand leaving out your XI from the previous league game, but not taking any of them with them was just stupid. They had literally no one with any experience on the bench to have a positive influence on the game once they fell behind. If they were playing somewhere in Eastern Europe then yes, but its not exactly an arduous journey to and from the Netherlands

He didn’t last season but before that we got to an Fa cup semi final and europa league quarter final under his management?
Yeah i get a bit fed up hearing about the myth of Nuno and the cups.

He took the Europa league very seriously, more so than many of the teams that have been in it in recent years. He took the FA Cup seriously and mostly the league cup. The one obvious time he didn't was away at Villa, but that was in the midst of a season where we started in July and played 16(?) games in the Europa league, he was right to play a weakened team.

Nuno brought us the best couple of cup runs i have ever seen, yet i keep reading "he didn't take the cups seriously" it's bollocks.

There's a lot of shit talked about Nuno. Revisionism at its finest.

People want to feel better about the club's decision to get rid, I suppose.

Just to add a little balance...

I agree some revisionism is way OTT. His record speaks for himself. However... I think generally uninspiring performances and results from the last season are perhaps fresher in the mind than previous glories for some people, add to that Nuno's dour, lifeless, 'homesick' demeanour towards the end, then touting himself around multiple PL clubs when the Molineux hotseat was still warm, and I think a few gripes are bound to surface.

Especially when, let's be honest, even constructive criticism of him when he was boss was treated like a fart in a lift in many places (including on here).

It's recency bias. He unnecessarily chucked a 5th round game last season with a fucking stupid team selection against a team who ultimately went on to make the semis

Villa should be behind. Don’t think Lacazette did anything wrong there

Arsenal all over them and it's finally paid off. Awful defending from the corner (not surprising with how they defended ours).
